Spiritual Principles I

‘For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith’ 1 John 5:4

The first spiritual principle that we must know in order to successfully operate in the supernatural is the source principle. The source principle simply states that you are your source. In the supernatural you are your source. The Jews were people of God but they had changed their source. And in John 8:44, Jesus was saying to them ‘For you are the children of your father the devil, and you love to do the evil things he does. He was a murderer from the beginning. He has always hated the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, it is consistent with his character; for he is a liar and the father of lies’. You are your source. So if you are a child of God, God is in you and the God in you is God. If God is in you, everything that cannot resist God cannot resist you. ‘That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit’ John 3:6 [KJV]. You cannot birth something in the flesh and baptize it in the spirit. This is why we give our lives to Christ and are reborn. ‘For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith’ 1 John 5:4[KJV]. In other words, as a child of God you have overcome the world and everything in it because greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. ‘For whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world’ – it is the source principle. As you begin to engage the supernatural, know that you are born of God and you are of God.

The second spiritual principle that we must know in order to successfully operate in the supernatural is the principle of hierarchy. The principle of hierarchy simply states that the lesser bows to the greater. In the spiritual there is hierarchy. ‘And without doubt the lesser is blessed by the greater’ Heb.7:7 [NIV]. One of the marks of spiritual people is that they are able to discern spiritual authority. One of the marks of people that are dull spiritually is that when they are in the presence of authority spiritually they do not know. One of the marks of people that are sharp spiritually is that if they see someone that is spiritual they know.

Prayer: I declare that I am born of God and I am of the Most High. Let everything that cannot stand before my God begin to bow down to me, in Jesus Name.
