Fully Obedient

‘And after you have become fully obedient, we will punish everyone who remains disobedient’ 2 Cor.10:6.

Confidence comes with complete obedience. ‘And we will be ready to punish every act of disobedience, once your obedience is complete’ 2 Cor.10:6 [NIV]. You have the confidence to avenge every act of disobedience only when your own obedience is complete. Which explains why a lot of Christians are living a defeated life because it is only when your obedience is complete that you are able to fight disobedience. There was a case of a man who was on fire for God and all of a sudden he came under some serious affliction of the enemy. The then president of the fellowship took it upon himself to seek God’s face and intercede for him. And God showed him a vision that explains the other brother’s predicament. In that vision that other brother had a band around his waist with a rope attached to it. This Christian brother would go and kick some creature that depicts the enemy. He will kick the creature and beat the creature and when the creature wants to get up and attack a hand will pull the rope linked to the brother unto itself. And when the creature sees that hand the creature will recline. This went on for a while. So one day the brother decided that he did not need the leash and he removed the leash and went again to beat the creature. And the creature seeing that the leash was gone got up and dealt with him severely. The interpretation is clear, there must have been instructions that God must have given him that he disregarded which led to him experiencing defeat. Many people are experiencing the problems they have today because God has given them instructions but they are too wise. In their hearts they believe that God does not really understand the things that are happening in the real world. So they have ventured out into the grounds of disobedience and are experiencing defeat. But I am praying today that your obedience will be complete in Jesus name.

Jesus already obtained the victory for us so we are more than conquerors because of what Jesus did for us. However, we must be fully obedient to operate in victory.

Prayer: Father, help me identify areas where I have been disobedient and repent of it. Help me also to flush out disobedience and walk in full obedience, in Jesus Name.
