Precious
Matthew 10:29-31 “What is the price of two sparrows—one copper coin? But not a single sparrow can fall to the ground without your Father knowing it. And the very hairs on your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows.”
God knows the number of hairs on the heads of every single human being. Do you know the number of hairs on your head? Okay, some people know the number because it is zero. So, let’s back track to when you had hair. Did you know the number of hairs on your head? I don’t think it is possible for anyone to know the number of hairs on their head. Do you know the number of hairs on your children’s heads? Yes, those children whom you think you love them more than God loves them. What is the hair count on your first child’s head? The truth is, you don’t know, so you can’t claim to love your children more than God loves your child.
You can’t claim you love your child more than God loves you. Why? It is because God is so particular that He has counted the number of hairs on your head. Wow! Guess what? God didn’t just count the number of hairs on your head; the Bible says He numbered the hairs on your head. So, if you hold up a strand of hair on your head, God can tell you that it is strand number three million, four hundred and fifty-five, for example. They are all numbered. Matthew 10:31 “So don’t be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows.” (emphasis added). One sparrow does not fall without God knowing, and God says you are more valuable than a whole flock. So, why are you afraid? Your life is not an accident.
Everything is going to work out for your good—everything! Romans 8:31 “What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?” My brother, my sister, I don’t know what you have been through, but God is for you. Say it, “God is for me.” And because God is for you, who can be against you? Everyone against you is against God, and everyone against God cannot prosper or prevail. So, everyone against you will not prevail or prosper. Therefore, be at peace because God is for you. Romans 8:35 “Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death?”
Does it mean God doesn’t love you because you have calamity or challenges? Romans 8:37 “No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.” (emphasis added). You will not just be victorious; you will have victory that overwhelms in the Name of Jesus. I am sure that, like me, you just want to drink a cup of tea and meditate on this all day.
Prayer: Father, in the Name of Jesus, Your perfect love for me drives out every kind of fear in my life. I rest in the truth that I am more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows. Amen!
