Heart Walk

Then Samuel asked, “Are these all the sons you have?” “There is still the youngest,” Jesse replied. “But he’s out in the fields watching the sheep and goats.” “Send for him at once,” Samuel said. “We will not sit down to eat until he arrives.” 1 Sam.16:11

If you must impress God, you have to take care of your heart. God is not interested in the car you drive or the designer of the shirt you are wearing. If you must get God’s attention then take care of your heart. Samuel asked, “Are these all the sons you have?” Now everybody and every Christian operates in some form of prophetic level and every Christian should. Every Christian that operates in the prophetic understands this struggle. God has said to you “fill your flask with olive oil and go to Bethlehem. Find a man named Jesse who lives there, for I have selected one of his sons to be my king.” So you go as led by God and you see all the sons and none of then is the king. And the next question usually would be “are like are these all your sons?”

During this teaching, God gave us a word that I am going to share here. I don’t know who this is for but God told you to do something. You did it, but you just did it because the Lord told you to do it, out of obedience. God says I should tell you that He is going to reveal His right hand because you obeyed Him. All glory to God alone!

I remember long ago there was a lady that loves the Lord. And for a couple of weeks she had the same dream repeatedly. In the dream some man will put this leg on her neck and she’d choke to life. So be prayed and while we were praying I felt God was saying that there is an idol here. So without thinking I just said the idol here, where is it? Her response was, “I am a Christian, my husband is a Christian, and there is no idol anywhere”. I was totally embarrassed and I though perhaps God is trying to set me up or I perhaps I missed it. Totally embarrassed, I was just going to slip out sheepishly. And then she said on their trip to the Bahamas they bought this figurine. When she brought it out it was a wood carving of a warrior with its leg on the neck of his prey. We burnt it and that was the end of those dreams. Everybody that is going to operate in the prophetic must be comfortable with not knowing everything. The only person that knows everything is God. For some, their desire to know it all has limited their spiritual growth. We know in part, just stay with God.

Prayer: Father, help me operate with full confidence the fact that every Word You speak is spirit and it is life; and it will not return to You void, in Jesus Name.
