Fruitfulness

And as the ark of the LORD came into the city of David, Michal Saul’s daughter looked through a window, and saw king David leaping and dancing before the LORD; and she despised him in her heart.2Sa.6:16

Your gratitude has a direct impact on your fruitfulness. A heart that is ungrateful will always be unfruitful. If you get gratitude right, a lot of things start to fall into place in your life. Gratitude to God is acknowledging God as your source and admitting that His blessings cannot be acquired based on your own merit. You cannot dictate to God based on works how He should bless you. If you ask anyone that God is really blessing why, they sincerely won’t be able to tell you why. However, when you chronicle the lives of the blessed, you will discover that they are grateful. Gratitude affects our fruitfulness. 2Sa.6:14-23 Even though David had won many battles for God, he realized that all of the victory came by God’s favour alone. This was what informed David’s choice to offer the ‘sacrifice of fools’ before God and this made Micah despise him in her heart. Micah was the only person recorded in the bible that remained barren. Rejoicing with others is a form of gratitude. Your gratitude has a direct impact on your fruitfulness. A heart that is ungrateful will always be unfruitful. If you are void of ideas or fruit, check your gratitude. If you are a grateful person, your life, relationships, marriage and work will be easier and fruitful. Let thanksgiving become your dialect as Paul advices.

Prayer: Dear Father, I pray that my heart will be filled with gratitude. That I learn and live a life of gratitude. Lord help me not to despise other people, especially those who are very grateful to you. Let my gratitude be accepted in your sight.
In Jesus name, Amen!
