Keynote To Germination II

‘Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do’ Joshua 1:8

Prayer and fasting is the third key note to germination. The things that God is saying and doing in us we need to take in the place of prayer and burn in and grow roots. God has said this is the year of establishment. You need to take the Word and pray it in. let it grow roots. Fasting of course accelerates it the process of growing spiritual roots.

Give the Word of God its rightful place. This is the key note to germination number four. Jesus said two buildings one as built upon the rock and the other upon sand. The wind came, the storm came, and the weather was contrary. One fell but the other remained standing. The difference was that one heard the Word of God and obeyed it. It is not just going to church but going to church to hear the Word of God that you will obey. The other heard the Word of God and filed it. Both of them were exposed to the same conditions, one fell and the other was standing. By the time this year is over, you will be standing.

Winning Souls is the key note to germination number five. In other words influence lives for Christ. Some people spiritual roots have grown so deep it is amazing [Prov.11:30]. Who are you influencing for God? You have to be deliberate about it. Whose marriage are you helping to stand? Who is that person that is about to back slide but you are helping to stand. Or is it just about you? There are some people whose roots have gone so far, you cannot uproot them because if you try a lot of buildings will go. That is how the life of a lot Christians who are bearing fruit are. That is why when the enemy comes against you, he cannot uproot you because your roots are eternally deep. Some people’s lives have been changed because of what you said to them. When such people think about you, their thankfulness translates into a word of prayer for you. You may not even know about it but that prayer will speak for you when you need it most. Such prayers speak for you against the enemy.

Prayer: Father, help me cultivate the habit of growing the Word in the place of prayer and fasting. And let the fruit of the Word in my life be souls for You and for the Kingdom, in Jesus Name.
