Need vs. Seed

Mark 4:24 “Then he added, “Pay close attention to what you hear. The closer you listen, the more understanding you will be given—and you will receive even more”

This ordinance of “Right seed, Right soil and Right condition” is key to the Kingdom. And if can you understand it, if you get it, you will stop struggling. Things will not just be by accident in your life because you will know what to do and how to make things happen. This formula is applicable to whatever area you are looking to God for abundant harvest. In spiritual growth, in finances, in matrimonial harmony, in career, in your business, and even in the supernatural; it is the same formula – right seed + right soil + right condition = Abundant harvest.  There are two parts to this equation – the first part [seed, soil, condition] is man’s part and the second part [abundant harvest] is God’s business.

There is a seed for every need that we encounter in our lives. If you need to grow spiritually for instance, read your Bible, pray and then surround yourself with people that have gone ahead of you in the spiritual walk. There are things that you are grappling with that someone has dealt with years ago. Why break your head spending three years to understand it when somebody can explain it to you in one minute?  There is a seed for every need. For each level of academics, there is a seed. You need to give the seed – read the books and pass the examinations. There is a seed, the Right Seed, for every need.

Heaven has a need; heaven needs to send somebody that would represent the Kingdom. Isaiah said, “Here I am, send me!” Sometimes, the seed is your life. There are many destinies that are hinged on your destiny. You must respond like Isaiah did, “here I am, send me”. Some of you have been called to solve the poverty problem in Nigeria. For some others, the call on your life is to improve medical science in the world. Some have been called to be the greatest evangelist. Until you give your life as a seed, it is not going to happen.

There is a seed even for an unhappy marriage. Sometimes the seed is to keep your big mouth shut, or let go of your opinion, or cook the meals on time and you will live happily ever after. Locate the seed and give it. The rest is up to God.

Prayer: Holy Spirit, please help me identify and give the seed for the needs in my life and then trust God for my abundant harvest, in Jesus Name. Amen!
