Common

1 Cor.10:13 (Voice) “Any temptation you face will be nothing new. But God is faithful, and He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can handle. But He always provides a way of escape so that you will be able to endure and keep moving forward.”

Benefit?

2 Cor.4:17-18 (Voice) “You see, the short-lived pains of this life are creating for us an eternal glory that does not compare to anything we know here. So we do not set our sights on the things we can see with our eyes… Instead, we focus on the things we cannot see, which live on and on.”

Love Unconditional

Eph.2:4-5 “But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!) (emphasis added)

Grace= Mercy + Favour

Eph.2:4-5 (NRSV) “But God, who is rich in mercy, out of the great love with which he loved us even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved” (emphasis added)

Eph.2:4 (NRSV, emphasis added) “But God, who is rich in mercy…”  What is mercy? Mercy is not getting what you deserve. Does anyone go to bed praying and pleading for God’s judgment in their lives? Read the rest of this entry

But GOD!

Eph.2:3 (NRSV) All of us once lived among them in the passions of our flesh, following the desires of flesh and senses, and we were by nature children of wrath, like everyone else” (emphasis added).

Really no one, not one of us can claim to be holier than another because the truth is, if God did not deliver you, you would not have been delivered. The Bible says, “All of us”, meaning we have all been there. Read the rest of this entry
