Be Submissive

And further, submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. For wives, this means submit to your husbands as to the Lord’ Eph.5:21-22

To be meek is to be submissive. Blessed are the submissive. The truth is that it is not only wives that are meant to be submissive to their husbands. Husbands are also supposed to be submissive to their wives. Now some men don’t like to hear this truth but God’s Word states ‘And further, submit to one another out of reverence for Christ’ Eph.5:21. God is actually saying to the husband and wife ‘submit one to another’, before He says wives submit to Read the rest of this entry

Not Without Patience

‘Then Abraham waited patiently, and he received what God had promised’ Heb.6:15.

Abraham is known as the father of faith. You cannot teach faith without patience. To teach faith without patience is to set people up for a life of disappointments and that is not what the Word of God teaches. The Word of God says Abraham, after releasing his faith, he was patient enough to obtain the promise. I am praying that you will be patient enough to obtain your promise in the mighty Name of Jesus. So if your name is patience, for instance, how Read the rest of this entry

You Are A Child?

‘So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask Him’ Matt.7:11

There is an English proverb that says the patient dog eats the fattest bone. But this generation says – no way! The patient dog will starve to death. That is what this generation interprets this proverb to mean. Yet with God the patient dog still eats the fattest bone but even beyond that you are not a dog! You are a child of God. So if your Father says I have a land for you, be patient! Do you trust Him enough to be patient? Or would you manufacture Read the rest of this entry

Will You Wait?

Blessed (happy, blithesome, joyous, spiritually prosperous—with life-joy and satisfaction in God’s favor and salvation, regardless of their outward conditions) are the meek (the mild, patient, long-suffering), for they shall inherit the earth!’ Matt.5:5 [AMP]

The meek is patient, mild, and long-suffering. When your spouse aggravates you, because our spouses are sometimes anointed to aggravate us, do you want to shred them or are you mild? God says blessed are the meek, blessed are the mild, for they will inherit the land. Some time ago, a friend of mine got news that his wife had done something that was not so pleasing to him. So he had made up his mind and the plan was to go and give his wife a Read the rest of this entry

Being Christ-like

Blessed (happy, blithesome, joyous, spiritually prosperous—with life-joy and satisfaction in God’s favor and salvation, regardless of their outward conditions) are the meek (the mild, patient, long-suffering), for they shall inherit the earth!’ Matt.5:5 [AMP]

Some years ago, my wife and I were staying in a particular house and we had both good neighbors and ‘funny’ neighbors. We all know it’s easier to be friendly to the good neighbors and be not so friendly to the ‘funny’ neighbors. But knowing what God expects of us drove us to go the extra mile to be nice to the ‘funny’ neighbors. There was this particular neighbor who consistently met our attempts to be warm and neighborly with an ice cold Read the rest of this entry

Blessedness!

‘How blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the land’ Matt.5:5 [CJB]

There are things that we all want from life. Things such as face to face communication with God, access to the resources of heaven, comfort when we are going through affliction, to inherit the earth, we want people to call us children of God, and we want to have possessions and prosperity. Jesus has His own way to achieving this ‘blessedness’ and we are trusting God to open our eyes and teach us Himself as we walk daily with Him. ‘Blessed Read the rest of this entry

Take Your Stand!

‘When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak of his own but will tell you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future’ John 16:13

‘But Micaiah replied, “As surely as the Lord lives, I will say only what the Lord tells me to say’ 1 kings 22:14. The people around you cannot continue in sin and yet you are telling them that all will be well with them. There is definitely something wrong with that. Who do you want to please –God or people? I want to please God! You need to take your stand today because people will come to you offering you all sorts of things just so that you can doctor Read the rest of this entry

Genuine Repentance

‘Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked way, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land’ 2 Chro.7:14

The church is God’s agent for change in the society. We are the catalyst. Therefore the key to the change that we desire in our country lies in out hands. Jesus puts is this way, ‘who ever must lead amongst you must first be the servant’. Our job is to serve our country by standing the gap and going before God. The church in Nigeria must humble themselves and pray and seek God’s face and turn from their wicked way. God has promised to hear from Read the rest of this entry

Hatred

The king of Israel replied to Jehoshaphat, “There is one more man who could consult the Lord for us, but I hate him. He never prophesies anything but trouble for me! His name is Micaiah son of Imlah…1 kings 22:8.

The third reason for persecution is hatred. Why did the king hate Micaiah son of Imlah? It was because he chose to only say what God tells him to say which of course translated to trouble for the king. But guess what, even the people who hate you know your name and your father’s name. And they are keeping tabs on your progress. The reason why he hated prophet Micaiah was because he was always speaking the mind of God. Being a man of God Read the rest of this entry

Your Destiny

David continued to succeed in everything he did, for the Lord was with him. When Saul recognized this, he became even more afraid of him’ 1 Sam.18:14-15.

You need to understand that the level of attack on your destiny is an indication of the greatness of your destiny. The level of struggle you go through particularly when you are doing all that God expects you to do is a pointer to the greatness that is set before you. Some people lose their jobs for no reason, sometimes it is out of envy from another person or the fear of what they would become. But guess what you would become all that God has called you to be Read the rest of this entry
