He Not It

John 14:16-17 (AMP) “And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counsellor, Strengthener, Standby), to be with you forever—the Spirit of Truth… He (the Holy Spirit) remains with you continually and will be in you.”

Today, I am going to share two things about the Holy Spirit with you which you have to know. Obviously, there is so much to the Holy Spirit but these things you have to inculcate in your walk with God and it will change your life. Read the rest of this entry

The Advocate

Acts 2:2&4 “Suddenly, there was a sound from heaven like the roaring of a mighty windstorm, and it filled the house where they were sitting. 4 And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages, as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability.”

Please read Acts 2:1-4. The truth is, the Church cannot be the Church without the Holy Spirit. Without the Holy Spirit, we cannot function or be all that God has created us to be. We need the Holy Spirit. Read the rest of this entry

Q & A IX

Gen.18:17, 19-20 “Should I hide my plan from Abraham?” the Lord asked. I have singled him out so that he will direct his sons and their families to keep the way of the Lord by doing what is right and just. Then I will do for Abraham all that I have promised.” So the Lord told Abraham…

What was Abraham’s response when God told him what was about to happen to Sodom and to his nephew Lot? Abraham did not go to town with tomorrow’s news today. When God shares things with you it is privileged information. Read the rest of this entry

Q & A VIII

1 Cor.12:4-6 “There are different kinds of spiritual gifts, but the same Spirit is the source of them all.  There are different kinds of service, but we serve the same Lord. God works in different ways, but it is the same God who does the work in all of us.”

Question: At what point are these gifts deposited in the individual – before or after salvation, or during the baptism of the Holy Spirit, or are people born with it? Read the rest of this entry

Q & A VII

Eph.1:17 (TPT) “I pray that the Father of glory, the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, would impart to you the riches of the Spirit of wisdom and the Spirit of revelation to know him through your deepening intimacy with him.”

Guided?

1 Tim. 3:15 (NIV) “if I am delayed, you will know how people ought to conduct themselves in God’s household, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth.”

The gifts of the Holy Spirit are to be used with diligence, cheerfulness, and faithfulness. Please read Rom.12:6-8; 1 Pet.4:10 -11. Spiritual gifts are to be used in an orderly and fitting way. Read the rest of this entry

The Intent

1 Cor.12:6-8 “God works in different ways, but it is the same God who does the work in all of us. A spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help each other. To one person the Spirit gives the ability to give wise advice; to another the same Spirit gives a message of special knowledge”

The purpose of the gifts of the Holy Spirit is to bless God’s Church, God’s people. It is so that when we gather in fellowship, we can give an accurate Word. As you study the Bible together and share, someone is able to get direction because of the manifestation of the gift of Word of wisdom. Read the rest of this entry

Divine Guidance

Isa.30:21 “Your own ears will hear him. Right behind you a voice will say, “This is the way you should go,” whether to the right or to the left.”

As children of God, we have the privilege of divine guidance, the guidance of the Holy Spirit.  Since we have this privilege, we ought to make use of it. The Holy Spirit can speak to you and guide you on decisions you intend to make. Hear what God has to say before you decide. However, we should not sit-down expecting thunder to strike before we make decisions. Read the rest of this entry

Charisma III

Acts 4:30-31 “Stretch out your hand with healing power; may miraculous signs and wonders be done through the name of your holy servant Jesus.” After this prayer, the meeting place shook, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit. Then they preached the word of God with boldness.

The second grouping of the Sign Gifts is the Power Gifts. The power gifts are gifts that do. The first is the Gift of Faith, the second is Gifts of Healing, and the third is Working of Miracles. A lot of these gifts work together and they kind of intersect but are different. Read the rest of this entry

Charisma II

Mark 16:17These miraculous signs will accompany those who believe: They will cast out demons in my name, and they will speak in new languages.”

The first grouping of the Sign Gifts is the Revelational Gifts, and these are the Word of Wisdom, the Word of Knowledge, and the Discerning of Spirits. Discernment of Spirits is telling between the Spirit of God and foul spirits. Read the rest of this entry
