How It Works

“I must work the works of Him that sent me, while it is day: the night comes, when no man can work” Jn.9:4

I need you to sit with yourself and come up with a ‘completely true to self’ answer to this question: what exactly are you waiting for? You have been engaged to that lady for so long, what are you waiting for? Get married! Some men will tell you they want to build a mansion first or at least have two cars. You have laid out the business plan and gone over it several Read the rest of this entry

Why Delay?

“I will hurry, without delay, to obey your commands” Ps. 119:60

What is the one thing that you can do right now to make things shift in your favour amidst all the doors that God is opening and the opportunities before you? What is that one thing you can do right now to make things shift in your favour at work, in your business, in your home, in your walk with God, or in your marriage? What is that one thing? Many of us know Read the rest of this entry

Follow Through II

“Then he said, “Now pick up the other arrows and strike them against the ground.” So the king picked them up and struck the ground three times.  But the man of God was angry with him. “You should have struck the ground five or six times…” 2Kings 13:18-19

Yesterday, we talked about the twin battle between the British forces and Turkey. We pointed out how in the first battle, the British backed down too quickly. Take note, they would have subdued Turkey if they had just followed through. In the second battle, the British lost again because they delayed at a point when they should have proceeded to launch Read the rest of this entry

Follow Through I

I must work the works of Him that sent me, while it is day: the night comes, when no man can work” Jn.9:4

I have friends that do not know how to use up to ten percent of the expensive phones they have. They are not deriving value [exploiting] from the phone. So the question is, why buy such an expensive phone if all you want to do is make and receive calls, send messages and take pictures? That phone is loaded with functionality more powerful than ten mainframe computers of the eighties put together. We do not exploit Read the rest of this entry

The Boss

“I urge you, brothers and sisters, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from themRom.16:17 [emphasis added].

God is clear in His Word about what we should do with people who cause divisions. Note them, keep away from them, and cut them off. Watch out for people that are unable or unwilling to take clear instructions; God says stay away from them. So your job as the leader is to establish a chain of command. Each person should have only one boss and they need to know who it is. Everybody is a leader in different capacities but each person should have only one boss. Read the rest of this entry

Know Your Options

“Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me” Jn.14:6

To have proper security, the second of four things you must do is ward off enemy invasion. The third thing is, deny information to the enemy. Make sure there is no information leakage of your life that seeps to the enemy. If any information seeps from your life to the enemy, make sure it is false information. Am I encouraging you to lie? Not at all; you are in a war situation so deny the enemy information.

On Guard

“There are “friends” who destroy each other, but a real friend sticks closer than a brother” Prov.18:24

To have proper security, the first of four things you must do is preventing surprises from your internal forces, the people around you. There are four types of people around you.

The Twist

“One day news came to David that the Philistines were at Keilah stealing grain from the threshing floors. David asked the Lord, “Should I go and attack them?” “Yes, go and save Keilah,” the Lord told him” 1 Sam.23:1-2

David is a master of maneuver. Please read the story in 1 Samuel 23, it is an amazing read. David’s heart was for his people Israel even though he himself was on the run from Saul. The Jewish city, Keilah, was being attacked by the Philistines. So David asked for permission to help them. As soon as he got clearance from God, David engaged his six hundred men.

But David’s men said, “We’re afraid even here in Judah. We certainly don’t want to go to Keilah to fight the whole Philistine army!” So David asked the Lord again, and again the Lord replied, “Go down to Keilah, for I will help you conquer the Philistines.” 1 Sam.23:3-4. So David went and delivered the city from the hands of the Philistines. Of Read the rest of this entry

Maneuver

Humans can reproduce only human life, but the Holy Spirit gives birth to spiritual life” John 3:6

George Washington, one of the ex-presidents of the United States of America, was the one that led the campaign that broke the back of the British hold on America. It was successful because he deployed the Principle of Maneuver. Up until this time, he had lost all his battles. George Washington was trained in continental warfare. Continental warfare has a lot to do with structure and order. He approached the battle against the British forces using his Read the rest of this entry

Twenty – Eighty!

David remarked longingly to his men, “Oh, how I would love some of that good water from the well by the gate in Bethlehem.” So the Three broke through the Philistine lines, drew some water… and brought it back to David…” 1 Chro.11:17-18

The Pareto Principle states that twenty percent of what you are doing is responsible for eighty percent of the results you are getting. Only twenty percent of what you are doing right now is producing eighty percent or more of the result you are getting. Regardless of how wealthy you are, it is only twenty percent of what you are doing that is generating the wealth. Even in church, it is only twenty percent of the people in attendance that make things happen. Read the rest of this entry
