“You crown the year with a bountiful harvest; even the hard pathways overflow with abundance” Ps.65:11

We are totally grateful to God for the One who brought us into the first day of 2015 has brought us to the first day of the last month in 2015. We can confidently face the remaining days in this year and look forward to 2016 because God is good and He is able to do what He has promised. This year has attempted to take some of us with it but it has failed and we will see 2016 and beyond in Jesus Read the rest of this entry

Keys To Effortless Worship I

“Guard your heart above all else,
for it determines the course of your life” Prov.4:23

You are wired for worship. Your spirit, your soul, and your body are programmed to worship God. If you are not functioning well, then check your worship. It’s as simple as that. Your mobile phone is designed and programmed for communication, through text messages, phone calls, or video calls. If I decide to use a mobile phone to play table tennis, that might work to some extent but the phone will never reach its Read the rest of this entry

As Unto God

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving” Col.3:23-24 [NIV]

The Lord said to Jesus when He was being baptized, this is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased. It is only God that can see man and be well pleased, only God! Man sees you but his focus is on “your flaws” and so he is not well pleased. But God sees you, God knows you, and God still loves you. He is totally well Read the rest of this entry

Die To Self II

“Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too” Phil.2:3-4.

Habits could be destructive or totally harmless; but is your habit something that has taken the place of God, howbeit harmless? Question 2: is there something that God wants me to start doing? At the place of the altar, God is going to challenge your spirituality. Take for instance; you have been praying for two Read the rest of this entry

Action Time

“Then at last the Lord said to me, ‘You have been wandering around this hill country long enough; turn to the north’” Deut.2:2-3.

One of them, when he saw that he was healed, came back to Jesus, shouting, “Praise God!” Luke 17:15. Many times, we take these things for granted because Jesus will not demand gratitude from us. Did Jesus go after the other nine lepers? No! Did He withdraw their healing because they did not show gratitude? No! He is bigger than all that. But was He happy that one at least came back? Yes he was! When we have special services, I have no doubt that God heals a lot of people, a lot of people are Read the rest of this entry

He Is Waiting

“Jesus asked, “Didn’t I heal ten men? Where are the other nine?  Has no one returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?” Lu.17:17-18 [emphasis added]

Our God is an action God. He is always doing stuff. He is always creating. He is always in motion. When Jesus walked physically on the earth, He was going everywhere healing the sick, raising the dead, delivering the captive. So we are accustomed to a God that does stuff; we are accustomed to an ever-active God. In fact, when we need things done in our lives we run to Jesus because we know that Read the rest of this entry

But God!

And the Lord passed before him and proclaimed, “The Lord, the Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth” Ex.34:6 [NKJV].

On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb.  They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.  While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them. In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, “Why do you look for the living among the dead?  He is not here; he has risen!” Luke 24:1-5 [emphasis added]. Consider This!

“Look up into the heavens.
Who created all the stars?
He brings them out like an army, one after another,
calling each by its name.
Because of his great power and incomparable strength, not a single one is missing” Isa.40:26

Do you know how many stars are in the universe? Scientists tell us that there are about one septillion, that is one followed by twenty-four zeros [1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000]. And that is in the observable universe alone. “He determines the number of the stars and calls them each by name” Ps.147:4. It is huge enough that He determines the numbers of the stars. It is Read the rest of this entry

Implication I

“Therefore he is able, once and forever, to save those who come to God through him. He lives forever to intercede with God on their behalf” Heb.7:25.

First Implication: Jesus is my Saviour means my eternity is secure. When I die or when rapture comes, I know where I am going. I was reading on the Internet a while back, about how Google was investing heavily into a biotech company whose main objective is to eradicate death and reverse ageing. I read it and I smiled because when Read the rest of this entry

Little Or Much?

“But Jesus said to the woman, your faith has saved you; go (enter) into peace [in freedom from all the distress that are experienced as the result of sin]” Luke 7:50 [AMP]

Luke 7 records an amazing story of the woman who washed Jesus’ feet with her tears, wiped it with her hair, and anointed it with very expensive oil from her alabaster box. Everyone around Jesus at the time was indignant; they were wondering why she would be wasting that much resource on Jesus when people are hungry? Have you Read the rest of this entry
