Be Wise
‘There has never been the slightest doubt in my mind that the God who started this great work in you would keep at it and bring it to a flourishing finish on the very day Christ Jesus appears’ Phil.1:6 [MSG].
The Potter is never in a hurry to finish one piece and move unto the next one. The Potter has a timetable for every piece, a timetable for the thoughts and plans He has for it. He is concerned about the future functionality of that piece and its durability. So, even when others think the work is complete or the clay itself is asking to be taken off the wheel, He knows to slow it down and take a look at it from all sides. What is He looking for? He is looking for cracks, air bubbles, and Read the rest of this entry
In His Eyes
‘Then the Lord gave me this message: “O Israel, can I not do to you as this potter has done to his clay? As the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are you in my hand.’ Jer.18:5-6.
In this verse, God refers to Himself as the Potter and refers to us as the clay. What is clay? Clay is worthless dust. God says to Israel that as the clay is in the hands of the potter so Israel [which is us] is in His hands. There are two forces at play in pottery making. The first is the intent of the potter [his desire or what he intends to create]. And the second thing is the readiness of the clay. Every potter in the creativity of His mind knows what He wants to make out of the clay that is before Read the rest of this entry
Persist Still
‘And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death’ Rev.12:11 [KJV].
‘When the devil had finished tempting Jesus, he left him until the next opportunity came’ Luke 4:13. Don’t think that because Jesus has empowered you then satan will fear you. Don’t think that because you are anointed then satan will back down from attacking you. He will not; but you will defeat him. Although your victory will not stop him from coming back but you shall be consistently victorious in Jesus Name. Even with Jesus, the Bible says he left Jesus for a season. Be A.L.A.T
‘Then the Lord said, “Learn a lesson from this unjust judge. Even he rendered a just decision in the end. So don’t you think God will surely give justice to his chosen people who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off?’ Luke 18:6-7
When you approach prayer, don’t approach it with the as soon as possible mindset. Instead of A.S.A.P be A.L.A.T! I agree that I may not totally understand the details of what you are believing God for. But you have to roll up your sleeves and be prepared to present your case before God for as long as it takes. If the widow went to the unjust judge and gave him a response time limit of ‘five minutes or else’, he probably would have been very happy. He won’t have responded and she Read the rest of this entry
The Difference
‘A widow of that city came to him repeatedly, saying, ‘Give me justice in this dispute with my enemy’ Luke 18:3
It is most heart breaking that we have a generation who close their eyes, shake their heads, and pray to God for a miracle. And when nothing happens, seemingly, they curse God. A generation that starts to doubt God because they prayed yesterday and God did not answer today. God wants you to know that He’s got your back. He says, when you go through the fire, He will be with you. Sometimes, when God takes me through certain things I say to Him, ‘is this not too much for just one Read the rest of this entry
Wellspring
“My food,” said Jesus, “is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work” John 4:34 [NIV]
You can carry the presence of God so intensely that evil around you will be exposed and I am praying that for you in Jesus Name. There was a married woman who came into my office straight from the bed of adultery. She came into my office and her body began to itch her so she ran out. She thought it was a coincidence, so she came back in and her body began to itch her again so she ran out again. And this happened the third time. I just saw her excusing herself and going back and forth. Read the rest of this entry
His Kingdom!
Now I say to you that you are Peter (which means ‘rock’), and upon this rock I will build my church, and all the powers of hell will not conquer it’ Matt.16:18
Why was Jesus so convinced about soul winning? I’ll give you two out of many reasons why. The first reason is that this is the way to build His Kingdom. Jesus has a Kingdom and He wants to build His Kingdom? He builds His Kingdom through you and I when we lead other people into that Kingdom. When we do this, He is excited. And in response to that He says ‘ask My Father anything and it will be done for you’. That is a good deal! Take note, it is His Kingdom. Years ago, I used to Read the rest of this entry
Before and After III
‘So if you speak in a way no one can understand, what’s the point of opening your mouth?’ 1 Cor.14:9 [MSG]
It is God who has turned your life into the testimony it is today. Your testimony is the greatest witness; your own personal icebreaker from God Himself. Today, we share a few examples of ‘before and after’ so that when you are coming up with your own story you will have an idea of what could be. It could be – before I was striving but now I am grateful; before I was self destructive, now I Read the rest of this entry
The Bridge
‘I tell you the truth, those who listen to my message and believe in God who sent me have eternal life. They will never be condemned for their sins, but they have already passed from death into life’ John 5:24
What exactly is the bridge? On one side there is a God and on the other side there is man. Between God and man there is a gulf [gap, space]. The gulf [space or separation] was caused by man’s desire to do things his own way and not God’s way. It was man’s rebellion against God’s approaches that separated man from God. In simple terms, man disobeyed God. The reason why it is important to Read the rest of this entry
Beyond Limits
‘Jesus replied, “Believe me, dear woman, the time is coming when it will no longer matter whether you worship the Father on this mountain or in Jerusalem’ John 4:21.
While every human being has a loving heart towards some people, almost every human being has a list of people that they cannot stand. It could be the person that cost you your job, or the person that took your spouse, it could be the person that stole your money, or someone who was nasty to you, or the person that cost you your business. Sometimes it is that class of the ‘un-liked’ that God Read the rest of this entry
