Charisma I

Eph.4:11-12 “Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ.”

God shows us clearly in His Word that the job of the Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, and Teachers is to equip the body for the work of the ministry. Who is supposed to do the work of the ministry? The body. You are part of the action. The work of the ministry is not meant for some superstar pastors or ministers alone. Read the rest of this entry

Manoeuvre

Ps.18:31-32 &34 “For who is God except the Lord? Who but our God is a solid rock? God arms me with strength, and he makes my way perfect. He trains my hands for battle; he strengthens my arm to draw a bronze bow.”

Yesterday, we said the third thing about opportunities is, You Must Stay Flexible To Be Ready. Staying flexible is possible when we keep in step with the Holy Spirit (Gal.5:25). Read the rest of this entry

Be Flexible

John 3:8 “The wind blows wherever it wants. Just as you can hear the wind but can’t tell where it comes from or where it is going, so you can’t explain how people are born of the Spirit.”

The third thing about opportunities is, You Must Stay Flexible To Be Ready. Gal.5:25Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.” You and I must stay flexible to be ready. If you are not flexible you cannot keep in step with the Holy Spirit. Read the rest of this entry

Gen.1:1-2 “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the deep waters. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters” (emphasis added).

Everything that is formless in your life will begin to take shape. Everything that is empty in your life will begin to get filled. Everything that is dark and represents darkness in your life, will receive light. “…And the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters“.

Be Responsible!

1 Sam.15:22 “But Samuel replied, “What is more pleasing to the Lord: your burnt offerings and sacrifices or your obedience to his voice? Listen! Obedience is better than sacrifice, and submission is better than offering the fat of rams.”

God’s Word clearly advocates fasting (both personal and corporate), and there are tremendous benefits. However, we must remember that our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit Read the rest of this entry

Christlike

Luke 4:1 “Then Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan River. He was led by the Spirit in the wilderness, 2 where he was tempted by the devil for forty days. Jesus ate nothing all that time and became very hungry.”

We are kicking off the year with our focus on Jesus; I believe that is the best to begin every endeavor. We will be looking at different aspects of Jesus’ Read the rest of this entry

New Beginnings

Philip. 2:5 “You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had. 6 Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. 7 Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being…”

Happy New Year!!! We are grateful to God for new beginnings. The beauty of a New Year is that it affords us a fresh start. Read the rest of this entry
