The Key Of Communication I
‘It’s only the fruit from the tree in the middle of the garden that we are not allowed to eat. God said, ‘You must not eat or even touch it; if you do, you will die’ Gen.3:3
The third key to having a great relationship whether married or single is the key of communication. All these keys are from Adam and Eve’s relationship. Adam failed on two grounds. Firstly, Adam failed to communicate accurately with Eve. And that is almost always a problem in our homes. The way men communicate is different from the way women communicate. A man will just summarize and give you bullet points and go on with his Read the rest of this entry
The Key Of Being
‘He gave names to all the livestock, all the birds of the sky, and all the wild animals. But still there was no helper just right for him’ Gen.2:20
Over the next few days we will be discussing three keys to having a great relationship. The first key to having a great relationship whether married or single is the key of being. Adam was not busy going from one singles event to another trying to look good and not even listening to the speaker. Many singles these days are what I call paranoid. They go from one place to the other just trying to make themselves available. And if the women Read the rest of this entry
Just A Smile
‘Good-tempered leaders invigorate lives; they’re like spring rain and sunshine’ Prov.16:15 [MSG]
Another invaluable thing we can give this season is a smile. You can give a smile to your neighbor. Try it out and see how much warmth it brings to your relationship. Some of us see our neighbors while driving out of our houses but we just keep a straight face. It does not cost you anything to give them a smile. They say it is more difficult to frown than to smile because the face uses a lot more muscles to frown than to smile. God wants us to be radiant. You cannot frown and be radiant at the same time. The gospel is the Good Read the rest of this entry
Keep Your Life
‘For the Scriptures say, if you want to enjoy life and see many happy days, keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies. Turn away from evil and do good. Search for peace, and work to maintain it’’ 1Peter 3:10-11
‘In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. He existed in the beginning with God. God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him. The Word gave life to everything that was created…’ John1:1-4. You and I have been created in the image of God. This also means that God has given us power in our mouths and the words we speak. Therefore as children of God we must watch every word that comes out of our mouth. ‘Those who control their Read the rest of this entry
Legitimate Child
‘Finally, Abraham said, Lord , please don’t be angry with me if I speak one more time. Suppose only ten are found there? And the Lord replied, then I will not destroy it for the sake of the ten’ Gen.18:32.
When Abraham was negotiating with God, he went from fifty, to forty, to thirty, to twenty, and finally to ten people. But in marriage, will you go for one person? So if you have a marriage or a relationship that is not going anywhere because there is constant strife both of them are not peacemakers. When God cannot find one person that is willing to pursue peace in that marriage, the marriage is in trouble. Are you the peacemaker? Now decree Read the rest of this entry
Loose The Cracked Cisterns
‘For my people have done two evil things: they have abandoned me- the fountain of living water. And they have dug for themselves cracked cisterns that can hold no water at all’ Jer.2:13.
God in the above scripture is referring to His own children, those who He has marked as His; those who He sent His Son to die for and who He has given up nations for. Yet these same people have hurt Him by doing two evil things – left Him, the fountain of living waters. And as if that is not bad enough, they have also created their own source of me time. Some people stand in front of their mirror and worship the idol in the mirror for two to three hours. Don’t get me wrong I have nothing against your choice to take care Read the rest of this entry
New Chapter
‘…Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning’ Ps.30:5 [KJV].
Grieving births rejoicing, you need to believe that and rejoicing will begin in your life in the Name of Jesus. Scientists tell us that pain is necessary for healing. They say that pain is actually a signal that your antibodies should send forces to that area to fight and bring about healing. Unfortunately, we have people that want to stay in a consistent sedated state of taking painkillers. People resort to using several things to numb their pain because even though they have refused to let the pain go, they do not want to feel the pain. Read the rest of this entry
Blessedness of Mourning I
‘Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted’ Matt.5:4 [NIV].
The first blessing in mourning/grieving is comfort, the sweet comfort of the Holy Spirit. Maybe you are grieving because you are currently experiencing a season of lack. Or maybe you are grieving because there is a promise you are trusting God for and it is so excruciating waiting for it. Whatever reason you may be grieving for, comfort is coming your way by the ministry of the Holy Spirit and of believers.
Comfort Is Here!
‘So you have sorrow now, but I will see you again; then you will rejoice, and no one can rob you of that joy’ John 16:22
No one grieves without reason; everybody grieves for a reason. If you see anyone grieving without a reason then something is wrong. But beyond that, why exactly do people grieve? The first reason why people grieve is mainly because of a loss. The second reason why we grieve is for our sins and for the sins of other people. Isaiah was one prophet who went around declaring woe to everyone. But when God opened his eyes and he saw himself for the way he really was, that same Isaiah declared ‘woe is me for I Read the rest of this entry
It’s Your Decision!
‘How blessed are the meek! for they will inherit their land’ Matt.5:5 [CJB]
So many times the land we desire of God is tied to the work of God in our hearts. Our Promised Land is tied to the extent to which the Holy Spirit is able to bring us under control. The more the Holy Spirit is able to bring you under control. The more He is able to tell you or nudge you not to talk and you don’t talk, the more power, land or whatever you desire is released to you. I’ve been among Christian friends heard them relay how they would put the Read the rest of this entry
