The Tree

“And I, the Son of Man, have come to seek and save those like him who are lost.”’ Lu.19:10

From the story in Luke 19:1-10 [please read], you will see that Zacchaeus and Jesus had one thing in common. Zacchaeus had just come down from a tree and in one week from that day, Jesus was going to be crucified on a tree. So when Jesus moved near that tree, he saw the cross. He saw what He came for and He could not ignore Zacchaeus. How that applies to us is simple. The tree Read the rest of this entry

Taste Berry!

Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?” Rom.2:4 [NKJV]

Gratitude they say is like a taste berry. A taste berry is something that once you put it in your mouth every other thing you eat afterwards is made sweet, even the bitter things become sweet. Thanksgiving is life’s taste berry; it makes every other thing that comes afterwards sweet. Start your day with thanksgiving and let it set the tone for your day. Read the rest of this entry

Lifestyle Of Worship III

“So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him” Rom.12:1 [MSG].

How does worship become a lifestyle? Intersect your daily routines with your passion for God. And that is best described with the portion of Scripture quoted above. Intersect your daily routines with your passion for God. Mix your life with God. Let your life be mixed with worship. Imagine a blender, put your life into it, add worship, add praise, add Bible Reading, push the button and just blend it all Read the rest of this entry

“The Fruit” I

“The woman was convinced. She saw that the tree was beautiful and its fruit looked delicious, and she wanted the wisdom it would give her. So she took some of the fruit and ate it. Then she gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it, too” Gen.3:6.

Sometimes I get upset that Adam and Eve just sold us short because of one fruit. But I realized that it was deeper than that, satan was not selling the fruit to Eve, he was selling the world. And it is because satan knew that as soon as she eats the fruit, there will be something of his that will be deposited in her as a mole. So she cannot say like Jesus would say, the prince of this world comes and has nothing in me because there would have been something in her. Read the rest of this entry

The World

“…don’t you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God” James 4:4 [emphasis added].

What is the world? The Word of God says for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life [Jn.3:16]. For God so loved the world… and God is saying to us love not the world, if you love the world you become an enemy of God. So what is God saying? When you see the word world in the Bible it means the system of the world and the people in the world. God so loved the people in the world that He died for them but He is saying to you and I do not love the system of the world. Read the rest of this entry

Be Still And Know

Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world” Ps.46:10

Jesus needed to pray to live stress free and you are not greater than Him. You need to pray no matter how busy you are. No matter how busy Jesus got, He made it a practice to spend time alone with God. You need to spend time alone with God. Some of us do not even know how to spend time alone with God. Some of us make Read the rest of this entry

The Solution

“Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do” Josh.1:8.

Spend time with the Bible, studying the Word and cultivating the Presence of God. It is that Presence of God that will protect and shield you. Then you too would say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress and my God in whom I trust. A thousand may fall at my left and ten thousand at my right but it shall not come near me. Only with Read the rest of this entry

Your Heart

“Love God, your God, with your whole heart: love him with all that’s in you, love him with all you’ve got!” Deut.6:5 [MSG].

And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship himRom.12:1. We established that God is interested in our bodies. And as we bring our bodies, God also wants our time, God wants your time, God also wants your substance. Yes, God Read the rest of this entry

Religion vs. Relationship

“These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me” Matt.15:8.

No matter how legitimate the altar is it cannot take the place of God. Another legitimate altar we tend run to and grab on to but fails us is ‘men of God’. Thank God for ‘men of God’, I do not have anything against them, but a man of God cannot substitute God. It is totally impossible no matter how anointed he is – he Read the rest of this entry

Love and Like

“I no longer call you slaves, because a master doesn’t confide in his slaves. Now you are my friends, since I have told you everything the Father told me. You didn’t choose me. I chose you…” John. 15:15-16.

“Now you are my friends”; you cannot be a friend of somebody you do not like. What creates friendship is the likeness. God does not need us but He likes us and that is simply amazing. The funny thing is that even though we need God, we do not always want Him. He does not need us yet He wants us. But even though we need Him Read the rest of this entry
