More Than These?

“After breakfast Jesus asked Simon Peter, “Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?” “Yes, Lord,” Peter replied, “you know I love you.” “Then feed my lambs,” Jesus told him” John 21:15.

Every utterance will be tested. I am telling you this, by the grace of God, as somebody that is privileged [as we all are also] to walk with God. As you walk with God, believe me, God will test everything. When Abraham said He loved God, like Peter said to Jesus, “Lord, you know everything. You know that I love youJohn 21:17. In other words, he was saying you are the God that knows the heart of Read the rest of this entry

Spiritual Insight

“For as I was walking along I saw your many shrines. And one of your altars had this inscription on it: ‘To an Unknown God.’ This God, whom you worship without knowing, is the one I’m telling you about” Acts 17:23.

An altar is a place where divinity meets with humanity. An altar is a place where God [the Maker of the heavens and earth] meets with us [human beings]. Any place God chooses to meet man or man discovers that God is, becomes an altar. Remember the two key things when it comes to an altar are Faith and Sacrifice. Read the rest of this entry

Place Of Alignment

“No, I insist on buying it for I will not present burnt offerings to the Lord my God that have cost me nothing” So David paid him fifty pieces of silver for the threshing floor and the oxen” 2 Sam.24:24

What have you been bringing before God, a sacrifice or a gift? Take note, you cannot go farther than the level of your sacrifice. Check; where you are today is because of the sacrifices you made yesterday. If you are a graduate, it is because you sacrificed to go to school when your mates were satisfied with making quick money. That position you occupy in your office now was because you sacrificed time and Read the rest of this entry

The Sacrifice Factor

“No, I insist on buying it for I will not present burnt offerings to the Lord my God that have cost me nothing” So David paid him fifty pieces of silver for the threshing floor and the oxen” 2 Sam.24:24

Adam and Eve taught their sons Cain and Abel, that the altar is the meeting place with God. However, the altar cannot be left without a sacrifice. So when you build an altar, bring a sacrifice and put it on the altar. When God comes and consumes the sacrifice, He attends to you. At the appropriate time, both boys brought something before God. Abel brought a sacrifice, while Cain brought something that Read the rest of this entry

Building Blocks

“Build for me an altar… and offer your sacrifices to me… Build my altar wherever I cause my name to be remembered, and I will come to you and bless you” Ex.20:24

There are two major factors when it comes to building an altar. There are other factors of course but there are two main factors. When it comes to building an altar the first factor is Faith and the second factor is Sacrifice.

The Faith Factor: “And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him” Heb11:6. The Read the rest of this entry

Necessary vs. Convenient

“When this vision came to me, I, Daniel, had been in mourning for three whole weeks. All that time I have eaten no rich food. No meat or wine crossed my lips, and I used no fragrant lotions until those three weeks had passed” Dan.10:2-3.

There are a lot of things that are necessary but not all of these things are convenient. The difference between the great man and the ordinary man is the great man does what is necessary and the ordinary man does what is convenient. The common man is about his convenience and he will resist everything that tries to pull him out of the Read the rest of this entry

You Will Be Rewarded!

“Teacher,” they said to Jesus, “this woman was caught in the act of adultery. The law of Moses says to stone her. What do you say?” John 8:4-5

What a question! The question on adultery; Please read John 8:1-11. How can it only be the woman that was caught? Can a woman commit adultery by herself? So where is the man? They were trying to trap him into saying something they could use against him, but Jesus stooped down and wrote in the dust with his finger” John 8:6. Jesus was probably infuriated Read the rest of this entry

God Sized

I will climb up to my watchtower
and stand at my guard post. There I will wait to see what the Lord says
and how he will answer my complaintHab. 2:1.

Firstly, to receive a dream, go to the balcony. When we were growing up, the balcony was where my father would lounge and read his newspaper in the cool of the evening breeze. To you and I, the balcony is a picture of relaxation; a place where you are relaxed and in tune with God. It is a place where you go to get an idea from heaven. ‘I will climb up to my watchtower
and stand at my guard post.
There I will wait to see what the Lord says
and how he will answer my complaintHab. 2:1. Habakkuk said, ‘I will set my watch’, meaning I will go Read the rest of this entry

Within Your Power

If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men’ Rom.12:18 [NKJV].

We need to understand that God has called us to be peacemakers and not necessarily peace achievers. There is a difference because peacemakers don’t always achieve peace. Peace achievers think they have failed if they do not achieve peace. A peacemaker longs for, works for, sacrifices for peace, and prays for peace. But the attainment of peace may or may not come. It is possible for you to seek for peace and peace would not come. ‘Do all that you can to live in peace with everyoneRom.12:18. Sometimes it does not lie with you Read the rest of this entry

Hatred

The king of Israel replied to Jehoshaphat, “There is one more man who could consult the Lord for us, but I hate him. He never prophesies anything but trouble for me! His name is Micaiah son of Imlah…1 kings 22:8.

The third reason for persecution is hatred. Why did the king hate Micaiah son of Imlah? It was because he chose to only say what God tells him to say which of course translated to trouble for the king. But guess what, even the people who hate you know your name and your father’s name. And they are keeping tabs on your progress. The reason why he hated prophet Micaiah was because he was always speaking the mind of God. Being a man of God Read the rest of this entry
