Building Blocks

Necessary vs. Convenient

Within Your Power

We need to understand that God has called us to be peacemakers and not necessarily peace achievers. There is a difference because peacemakers don’t always achieve peace. Peace achievers think they have failed if they do not achieve peace. A peacemaker longs for, works for, sacrifices for peace, and prays for peace. But the attainment of peace may or may not come. Hatred
‘The king of Israel replied to Jehoshaphat, “There is one more man who could consult the Lord for us, but I hate him. He never prophesies anything but trouble for me! His name is Micaiah son of Imlah…’ 1 kings 22:8.
The third reason for persecution is hatred. Why did the king hate Micaiah son of Imlah? Primary Responsibility

Cultures vary from place to place but God has clearly defined the role of the man and the woman within the marriage relationship. Depending on the season in a marriage, responsibilities within the home can be shuffled around. So you are a young couple and your wife has just landed a job that pays her a salary that is four times your combined salaries. And you want to know if it’s acceptable to be a stay at home dad to allow her focus and maintain stability within the home. Blameless Word
‘Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse… if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes…’ Mal.3:10-11.
A lot of believers have questions about tithing. Some say they always bring an offering to God but do not tithe so they want to know if God will kill them. I would say no, God won’t kill you but devourers just might because they will face your finances. The only answer to avoiding devourers is to tithe, nothing more nothing less. Equal Sacrifice; Not Equal Giving
‘Both men and women came, all whose hearts were willing. They brought to the Lord their offerings of gold—brooches, earrings, rings from their fingers, and necklaces. They presented gold objects of every kind as a special offering to the Lord’ Ex.35:22.
For some a financial sacrifice would mean ten thousand naira. For some other it would mean ten million naira. And for some still it would mean a hundred million naira. In my opinion, the people who usually miss it the most are the people whose sacrifice is ten thousand naira because they usually believe they do not have enough to give. When the Lord drops things in my heart that I do not understand, I ruminate over it in His presence.
