Impregnable!
“And the fire on the altar shall be kept burning on it; it shall not be put out. And the priest shall burn wood on it every morning, and lay the burnt offering in order on it…” Lev.6:12 [emphasis added].
Functioning in your priesthood makes your life impregnable to the enemy. Every time they try, they will fail, in Jesus Name. Some time ago, I was not a Pastor yet but I was a believer at the time and in relationship with God. I was running rampant for Jesus. My business was anywhere I see trouble, that’s where I want to be in. Anywhere somebody had a demon-possessed issue, my response was, Read the rest of this entry
DNA
“O Lord my God, you have performed many wonders for us. Your plans for us are too numerous to list. You have no equal. If I tried to recite all your wonderful deeds, I would never come to the end of them” Ps.40:5.
“And men go abroad to admire the heights of mountains, the mighty waves of the sea, the broad tides of rivers, the compass of the ocean, and the circuits of the stars, yet pass over the mystery of themselves without a thought.” – Augustine of Hippo. Man travels to space and we go to Kilimanjaro and we try to explore the ocean, we look at the stars and the moon. But Augustine of Read the rest of this entry
Shake Off, Step Up!
“Even if that person wrongs you seven times a day and each time turns again and asks for forgiveness, you must forgive”” Luke 17:4
“Then Peter came to him and asked, “Lord, how often should I forgive someone who sins against me? Seven times?” “No, not seven times,” Jesus replied, “But seventy times seven!” Matt.18:21-22. Yes, even the disciples had to deal with this. So Just like Jesus, I am saying forgive again. Remember the story from yesterday? The person actually solved the issue. The person said, when Read the rest of this entry
Huge Difference
“What are mere mortals that you should think about them. human beings that you should care for them?” Ps. 8:4
Many people are around you today because they need you and not because they like you or want you. They are just there because they need you to do ‘xyz’ or give them ‘abc’ and that’s all. They need you to give them money, or connect them to someone. When they don’t need you anymore, what happens? In my few years of Pastoral Read the rest of this entry
For The Father
“The older brother became angry and refused to go in… ‘Look! All these years I’ve been slaving for you and never disobeyed your orders. Yet you never gave me even a young goat so I could celebrate with my friends” Luke 15:28-29 [NIV].
The older son couldn’t understand the party so he became angry and refused to go in. “ But when this son of yours who has squandered your property with prostitutes comes home, you kill the fattened calf for him!” Luke 15:30 [NIV]. The older son felt cheated; why did you kill the fattened cow ‘for him’? Do you know how long it took us to feed that cow fat? To understand the reason for the party, you need to look Read the rest of this entry
A Picture Of Grace
“The older brother was angry and wouldn’t go in. His father came out and begged him” Luke 15:28
As believers, the more truth we imbibe, the more we are established in grace. That’s just how it works. The more truth we imbibe, the more we are established in grace. In fact, the reason some Christians appear not to be able to backslide and have been consistently growing in their walk with God is because they keep the truth before Read the rest of this entry
Beyond Our Request
“I will go home to my father and say, “Father, I have sinned against both heaven and you, and I am no longer worthy of being called your son. Please take me on as a servant.”’ Luke 15:18-19
Jesus is full of grace and truth; Jesus Himself unpacks this with the story of the prodigal son [Luke 15]. With good works, you understand that nothing you do in your strength can bring you in. So you are not working to pay back but out of love and duty to the Father. With dead works, you think that you can actually work your Read the rest of this entry
Unexplainable
“You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name” John 15:16
In John 5, this man was lame for thirty-five years. Jesus skipped a lot of people, got to the man and asked him, “Will you be made whole?” And instead of answering the question, the man went on to relate the story of the thirty-eight years of his life. And Jesus said, you know what, get up, take up your bed and walk; and Jesus left the man Read the rest of this entry
Experiencing Jesus
“No power in the sky above or in the earth below – indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord” Rom.8:39.
When you experience Jesus, you experience a full dose of grace and a full dose of truth. He came with a full measure. The challenge with the folks that have a problem with truth is that truth has finality to it. Truth has absoluteness to it; truth is either white or black. But a lot of us enjoy living in the grey area. We really don’t like white Read the rest of this entry
