Succoth

Ps.142:3 (TPT) “For when I was desperate, overwhelmed, and about to give up, you were the only one there to help. You gave me a way of escape from the hidden traps of my enemies.”

When it comes to discouragement, there are two big ways discouragement damages. If we understand these two ways, then we are better positioned to adjust our sails, adjust ourselves and triumph. Read the rest of this entry

Hold On

Ps.105:19 “Until the time came to fulfil his dreams, the Lord tested Joseph’s character.

We are grateful to God for His hand upon us, for dismantling depression, demolishing doubt and for dealing with defeat. Over the next couple of days, by God’s grace, God is going to show us how to overcome discouragement. All these ‘D’s’ are going to crumble in Jesus Name. The truth is that, if discouragement is not handled with care it can lead to defeat. Read the rest of this entry

The Exchange II

Isa.61:3 (Voice) “…God has sent me to give them a beautiful crown in exchange for ashes, To anoint them with gladness instead of sorrow, to wrap them in victory, joy, and praise instead of depression and sadness…”

Attitude

Rom.12:2 (Voice) “Do not allow this world to mold you in its own image. Instead, be transformed from the inside out by renewing your mind. As a result, you will be able to discern what God wills and whatever God finds good, pleasing, and complete.”

Major Keys

2 Tim.3:16-17 “All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.”

One major key when it comes to being able to say no so that you can say yes is, you need to determine what is not worth your while. Just because something is good does not mean you should do it. Read the rest of this entry

True Worth

Matt.7:11 [MSG] “You’re at least decent to your own children. So don’t you think the God who conceived you in love will be even better?”

Children typically do not question the parent’s direction, they just follow. Even when they ask questions, it is just for asking sake. We must be like these little children with God. Read the rest of this entry

Hearken

1 Sam. 15:22 But Samuel replied, “What is more pleasing to the Lord: your burnt offerings and sacrifices or your obedience to his voice? Listen! Obedience is better than sacrifice, and submission is better than offering the fat of rams.”

Please read Luke 17:11-19. Another noteworthy thing from this passage of scripture is the fact that Jews and Samaritans were together. That is not a very common scene. Read the rest of this entry
