Luke 11:1-2 “Once Jesus was in a certain place praying. As he finished, one of his disciples came to him and said, “Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples.” Jesus said, “This is how you should pray…”

As we tackle this decade of destiny, this decade of light, in addition to choosing the Right Values and choosing the Right Guide, we need to choose the Right Team. Back to the illustration of the doors, when the light comes on, we can see the opportunities that lie ahead of us. Read the rest of this entry

Three P’s

1 John 2:15&17 “Don’t set the affections of your heart… or in loving the things of the world. The love of the Father and the love of the world are incompatible… This world and its desires are in the process of passing away, but those who love to do the will of God live forever. (TPT)

Moses Chose What God Values Over What Culture Values. And yesterday we learnt that when you do the things that the world values, you expire. But when you do the things that God values, you endure. The question is, what does God value? Read the rest of this entry

You Decide

Hebrews 11:26 “He valued suffering in the Messiah’s camp far greater than Egyptian wealth because he was looking ahead, anticipating the payoff.” (MSG).

You cannot change what happens to you, but you can change what you do with your life. People can hurt you, yes, they can. People can harm you, yes, they can. People can scar you, yes, they can. But no one can ruin you except you, not even satan. Read the rest of this entry

Choices

Haggai 1:7 “Think very carefully about your choices.” (Voice)

Over the next few days, we are going to examine the life choices Moses had to make based on the things he valued which led to the greatness that God had for him. And if we make these choices based on the right values, we too will end up with the greatness that God has for His people. Read the rest of this entry

Value System

Haggai 2:15 “Now think carefully about your choices from this point forward…” (Voice)

The choices you make are so powerful and they determine the life you live. One major way of changing anything is to change the value you place on it. You cannot claim to value your finances if you do not place value on the things God has said you should place value on. Read the rest of this entry

Place Value

Psalm 40:7-8 “Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me, I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.” (KJV, emphasis added)

Today, we are going to focus on the book David was referring to in our anchor scripture because people often get the concept of the book wrong. As represented in the inserted illustration, the book of my life and your life has three chapters — Chapters A, B, and C. Chapter A is from birth to when you are of age. Read the rest of this entry

Your Choice

Genesis 13:10-11 “Lot took a long look at the fertile plains of the Jordan Valley… The whole area was well watered everywhere … Lot chose for himself the whole Jordan Valley to the east of them. He went there with his flocks and servants and parted company with his uncle Abram.”

How do you choose your future? Can you actually choose your future? Imagine, the future presents itself as a series of doors, as though one is standing in a huge room with multiple doors. If the room is dark, all the doors will not be visible. Read the rest of this entry

True Worth

Romans 8:32 “Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else?”

The value of an item is determined by the amount someone is willing to pay for it, right? The value of your car is determined by the amount somebody is willing to pay for it. God’s Word says that your value and my value is the life of Jesus on the cross of Calvary, that is the price God paid for you and I. Read the rest of this entry

The Four

John 2:3-4 “The wine supply ran out during the festivities, so Jesus’ mother told him, “They have no more wine.” “Dear woman, that’s not our problem,” Jesus replied. “My time has not yet come.”

Yesterday, we began to talk about the need to surround ourselves with the right type of people. And we said that usually there are four types of people; the Pessimist, the Optimist, the Analyst, and the Executionist. Read the rest of this entry

Do’s & Don’ts

Luke 18:9 “Then Jesus told this story to some who had great confidence in their own righteousness and scorned everyone else… 14For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.”

Jesus says we should fast but fasting should be done in humility and secrecy. Please read Luke 18:9-14. Jesus says that when you fast and make a boast of it, when your fasting is based on arrogance, Read the rest of this entry
