Shepherd vs. Cowboy

Ps.26:3 “Your constant love is my guide and your faithfulness always leads me.” (TEV, emphasis added)

Who is your shepherd? I hope that by now you can say Only Jesus! A lot of us know people or are people that travel. When we travel to new places, sometimes we go around the city just to appreciate the sights. Read the rest of this entry

One & Only

Ez. 34:11-12 “For this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I myself will search and find my sheep. I will be like a shepherd looking for his scattered flock. I will find my sheep and rescue them from all the places where they were scattered on that dark and cloudy day.

Yesterday, I said that it is how Jesus treats His sheep that made me determine that ONLY Jesus will be my Shepherd. The question is, how does Jesus treat His sheep? When I am hurt, how does Jesus respond? Like sheep, you and I are going to get hurt in this world. Read the rest of this entry

Only Jesus!

John 10:11 “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd sacrifices his life for the sheep.”

We often start the New Year with a lot of zest, a lot of energy, and we are fired up. But sometimes, in a few weeks or one month, we have taken some hits and lost bearing. Fear creeps in and we begin to doubt all that we set out to achieve. Most times, what we need is for God to realign us. Read the rest of this entry

Unmerited Beauty

Rom. 8:32-33 (GW) “God didn’t spare his own Son but handed him over to death for all of us. So he will also give us everything along with him. Who will accuse those whom God has chosen? God has approved of them.”

God wants to take away the ashes in your life, He wants to take away the ashes that you are addicted to and give you His beauty. Will you give it to Him? Some people are holding on to ashes because of addiction and some are holding on to ashes because of logic. Read the rest of this entry

The Exchange V

Ps.126:1-2 (KJV) When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream. Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The Lord hath done great things for them.

Yesterday, we said that when God wants to beautify, robe or crown someone, He puts a smile on his or her face. Smiling makes you beautiful. I pray that you will smile physically, you will smile spiritually, you will smile emotionally, and you will smile relationally in the Mighty Name of Jesus. Read the rest of this entry

The Exchange IV

Isa.61:7 “Instead of shame and dishonor, you will enjoy a double share of honor. You will possess a double portion of prosperity in your land, and everlasting joy will be yours.” (emphasis added).

God is giving you double honour for shame. Again, I say, have you experienced shame? Then, congratulations because double honour is yours, in the Name of Jesus. Scriptures reveal that God has a soft spot for people that are humiliated. Read the rest of this entry

The Exchange III

Isa.61:3 “To all who mourn in Zion, he will give a crown of beauty for ashes, oil of joy instead of mourning, a garment of praise instead of the spirit of heaviness. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.” (NLT & NIV]

God is trading His beauty for our ashes and He is doing it in every area. We are going from barrenness to Fruitfulness, from sorrow to Joy, from bondage to Freedom, from loss to Recovery, from death to Life, from poverty to Wealth, and from shame to Honour. Read the rest of this entry

The Exchange II

Ps. 126:1-2 (KJV) “When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream. Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The Lord hath done great things for them.”

God is trading His beauty for our ashes and He is doing it in every area. God is giving us beauty for ashes, from sorrow to Joy. God is giving us His joy in the place of sorrow. Read the rest of this entry

The Exchange I

Job 42:5-6 “I had only heard about you before, but now I have seen you with my own eyes. I take back everything I said, and I sit in dust and ashes to show my repentance.”

Sometimes, because we cannot see very far, we tend to argue with God. We look at our lives and we question God’s heart and His goodness. Why did You not do this and why did You not answer that prayer. Read the rest of this entry

Blazing Love

Zec. 2:5 (KJV) “For I, saith the Lord, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her.”

Yesterday, we established that ashes are proof of a negative progression. Wherever you see ashes, greatness was previously pre-destined, but the enemy has done this. Note that, fire only answers to fire. Fire does not answer to grammar. Read the rest of this entry
