Pay Attention!

“Do not despise these small beginnings, for the LORD rejoices to see the work begin…” Zech.4:10

A lot of times we are so caught up with racing to the top that we miss out on vital lessons we need to learn along the way to the top. Never ignore the things you think are time wasting or useless. Most of the time, these are the lessons you will need in future. We are always so caught up with the seemingly big things that we tend to miss out on, overlook, and grumble about the seemingly little things God is doing. “He who is faithful in little will be faithful in much”. Take Note!

“Seest thou a man diligent in his business? He shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men” Prov.22:29 [KJV]

Using a dull axe requires great strength, so sharpen the blade. That’s the value of wisdom; it helps you succeedEcc.10:10. You have been given the axe and the wood, however succeeding at the task of cutting the wood is tied to sharpening the blade of the axe. The success or failure of this task is the resultant effect of the decisions you make here after. Incompetence would mean knowing the blade needs to be sharpened but refusing to sharpen it or waiting Read the rest of this entry

Seed Of Excellence

“Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was found in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm” Daniel.6:3 [KJV]

Excellence is what sets you apart from average. To excel is to go beyond the ordinary. An excellent person is always preferred and selected above people who are just good. God has placed a seed of excellence in everyone He created. All we need to do is develop that seed up to the fruit bearing stage. Daniel did not become excellent when he interpreted Nebuchadnezzar’s dream. His excellence did not start when he interpreted the writings on the wall, Read the rest of this entry

Be Merciful

“Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven” Luke 6:37 [NIV]

Be merciful! God will not ask you to give to others what He has not first given you. As you have obtained mercy, God expects you to also give mercy. To whom much is given, much is expected. Jesus says that loving Him translates to obeying His commands. God’s command to you and I today is be merciful. Read the rest of this entry

Witnesses

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about Me everywhere… and to the ends of the earth” Acts 1:8

Jesus says about you and I, “…you will be my witnesses, telling people about Me everywhere”. We are witnesses for Christ Jesus and the Holy Spirit has planted all that we need to be effective witnesses in us. However, you cannot stand as a witness to an event you did not witness otherwise you will be a false Read the rest of this entry

Understanding Mercy And Grace

“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth” John1:14 [KJV]

As a child, when you know that your father is merciful you would not see the need to hide anything from him. Similarly, when you take God as your Father, your Merciful Father you will run to Him especially when you need mercy most. However, unlike our earthly fathers, God already knows everything we Read the rest of this entry

Who?

“The Lord passed in front of Moses, calling out, “Yahweh! The Lord! The God of compassion and mercy! I am slow to anger and filled with unfailing love and faithfulness” Ex.34:6

It is human nature, when you are asked about yourself, to put your best foot forward. The ‘tell us about yourself’ question is very common at job interviews. And when people are presented with this question, their natural tendency is to tell only the good things about themselves, the things they consider Read the rest of this entry

In The Name

“And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing” Gen12:2 [KJV, emphasis added]

Diverse people introduce themselves differently and very often by the various titles they have acquired. The desire to establish greatness and stamp our authority drives us to seek titles. This is why you find people whose only pleasure and life’s purpose is to become a Chief, a Reverend, an Evangelist, or Read the rest of this entry

The David Way

The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety” Ps.18:2

God does not just want to be the Alpha and Omega to you, He desires to be your Alpha and Omega. It is impossible to have God to yourself alone but you can choose to personalize your every communication with Him. Personalize His Word because guess what? He spoke His Word directly to you. Personalize Read the rest of this entry

Love And Share!

“Teacher, which is the most important commandment in the law of Moses?” Matt.27:36

What must you and I do to put our relationships with God intact? “Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.” Matt.22:37-40.
