Special Ability VII

Acts 2:46-47 “They continued to WORSHIP TOGETHER in the TEMPLE COURTS… PRAISING God and ENJOYING the favor of all the people.” [with emphasis]

The early Christians met in a place called Solomon’s porch, a place so big it could take a hundred thousand people standing. There were no seats in the church and they were having service every day. The ushers were not tired, the children’s church teachers were not complaining, the choir never got tired of ministering, these people were just on fire. And guess what? They would go home and meet again in their homes and fellowship together.

As long as there is one person in Lekki area of Lagos Nigeria that does not know Jesus, as long as there exists one person that is far from God or is un-churched, God’s Favourite House will not stop growing. We will keep growing and we will not get tired because our vision is to be filled with the life of Christ Jesus and released into our destiny, taking the world for Him. We have to take the world for Jesus.

To be a people that God blesses and God’s blessing will intensify upon, we must Worship With Joy. Our services should be festivals and not funerals. Our services should be a place of celebration. Why celebration? I say, why not a celebration when my past has been forgiven, I have a purpose for living, and I have a home in heaven. Why will we not celebrate when Jesus is alive? We will not be quiet, in Jesus Name. There is so much bad news out there in the world. In fact by the time some people get to church, they are flat out. But in the Name of Jesus, we are going to use our spiritual jumper cables to charge you up.

But the key thing is, you really cannot become fired up by being passive. Worship only recharges you if you participate. Peter was quoting the Psalms in Acts 2:28 “You’ve shown me the paths that lead to life, and your presence fills me with joy!” [TEV, with emphasis]. Acts 2:26 “Because of this, my heart will be glad, my words will be joyful, and I will live in hope!” [CEV, with emphasis]. You are wired by God to express emotions and where else would you rather express your emotions of love if not with your God.

Prayer: Lord, You’ve shown me the paths that lead to life, and Your Presence fills me with joy! Because of this, my heart will be glad; my words will be joyful, in Jesus Name. Amen!
