Three Things

Proverbs 18:15 “The heart of the discerning acquires knowledge, for the ears of the wise seek it out.”

You need three things to get the best out of life. The first is Discernment. When God came to Solomon, discernment was one of the major things Solomon asked for. 1 Kings 3:9 “…give your servant a discerning heart to govern your people and to distinguish between right and wrong.” Solomon asked and God responded by giving it to him. 1 Kings 3:12 “I will do what you have asked. I will give you a wise and discerning heart, so that there will never have been anyone like you, nor will there ever be” (NIV, emphasis added). I pray that God will give you a wise and discerning heart so that you can make the right choices in this decade of destiny.

The second thing you need to get the best out of life is Courage. 2 Timothy 1:7The Spirit God gave us does not make us afraid. His Spirit is a source of power and love and self-control.” (ERV). The Holy Spirit is the source of our power, our courage. Courage is not the absence of fear. Courage is the presence of God. Joshua 1:9 This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” I pray that the presence of God will be real to you.

The third thing you need to get the best out of life is Generosity. You have to learn to open doors for others. How many people have gotten a job because of you? You have to learn to open doors for others. How many people have taken their business to the next level because of you? You have to learn to open doors for others. How many people have grown spiritually because of you? You have to learn to open doors for others. How many people have understood scriptures because of you? To get the best out of life you have to learn to open doors for others. It may not come naturally to you, but you can learn it. 1 Peter 4:9-10Open your homes to each other, without complaining. Each of you has received a gift to use to serve others. Be good servants of God’s various gifts of grace” (NCV). Use whatever gift you have received from God to serve others. When you are discerning, courageous, and generous, you get the best out of life.

Do you need to increase in discernment? Are you lacking in courage? Do you need to grow in your generosity? The first step for you to be discerning is to be born of The Holy Spirit. It is because whatever is born of The Spirit is spirit and whatever is born of the flesh is flesh. You need to be born of The Spirit; you need to give your life to Jesus.

Prayer: Father, I ask for a discerning heart, fill me with courage and make me a blessing to many nations and generations, in Jesus Name. Amen!
