Do Not Stop!

Luke 11:9-10 “…keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.”

Why do you ask God for something several times? Just ask once and let it be. Or don’t you have faith? Have you heard people say this? I have had several people say it to me, several times. Relax, that is what they know. There is a place for prayer of faith. In fact, people have abused me that I do not sweat or shout when I pray for people. You just pray a simple prayer, and you are done. What kind of Pastor are you? Other Pastors are praying and sweating over this same matter. I sweat my own sweat in the closet, so I can pray a simple prayer in public. You choose where you pray your extended prayer.

Why should you repeat your prayers? Why should you continue to pray? It is because of hindrances that you need to break through. And you will break through every such hindrance in the Name of Jesus. God Himself said in Isaiah 62:7Give the Lord no rest until he completes his work, until he makes Jerusalem the pride of the earth.” Give the Lord no rest until you see what you want, keep on showing up! Jesus at Gethsemane prayed the same prayer for one hour each, three times. What was He saying? “Father, if it is Your will, let this cup pass over me, nevertheless, not my will but Your will be done.” For one hour, that was all He was praying. He came out after one hour and then went back to engage the same prayer point. He did this three times.

You must not get tired. If you do not get tired of your prayers, heaven is not tired of hearing your prayers. So, you must not get tired of your prayers. So, why did this woman ask over and over and over? The answer is, that the widow kept asking not because the judge had not heard, but because the judge had not acted. You have to keep asking until the judge acts. She knew that the judge had heard her, and that is why she kept coming back. God is not deaf, He can hear. We know He has heard us. But we will come back and keep asking Him until we see that which we are asking for. What I am saying in essence is, we will keep coming to God, not because He has not heard us. But because we will not relent until we receive what we are asking for.

Are you with me on this? We will keep coming, not because he has not heard us, but because we will not relent until we receive what we are asking for. When your enemies are tired, you are still praying, “Let their ways be dark and slippery, let the Angel of the Lord chase them.” Your enemies are just receiving bullets from every side and they are wondering what is going on. But you will not stop praying, you will not stop engaging until they are wiped out!

Prayer: Father, help me against the opposition, fight for me, in Jesus Name. Amen!
