Even You

Deuteronomy 11:¹⁴ “then he will send the rains in their proper seasons—the early and late rains—so you can bring in your harvests of grain, new wine, and olive oil.”

The nation of Israel had experienced a lot of droughts because of their sin. Usually, the latter rain comes in Spring, about four to six months after the fertilizing rain (former rain). But God is kind. He said, “I will give you the fertilizing rain and the ripening rain together in the first month.” Then God goes on to say in Joel 2:²⁵ “And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.” (KJV). God could have said, “You have lost it, you have lost it. Don’t worry, I forgive you, but let’s go on from here”. God says, “I will give you the fertilizing rain and the ripening rain together in one month. And I will accelerate the process of fertilization and bring your fruit to maturity and shorten the time for you.”

Many of you think you are losing time; don’t worry, God will shorten the time for you. This is just so powerful. God will bring the fertilizing showers and the ripening showers together, then accelerate the time of the harvest for you in the Name of Jesus (say Amen). Since the rain is not one drop, you will not experience a singular blessing. You will experience blessings in multiples in the Mighty Name of Jesus. You may be saying, “Pastor, I am happy that God is working in people’s lives.” Guess what? God is saying, “Even you, your own time has come.” You have laboured and suffered. You have carried other people’s load and burdens. God has sent me to tell you that even you, the showers are coming on you.

You look at yourself and you think you are unworthy. The enemy magnifies your sins before you and says, “You know it is not you they are talking about.” God has sent me to tell you that even you, the showers will fall on you. You have been cheated by people you trusted, and it looks as if things are just getting worse. God has sent me to tell you that even you will experience the showers. People have passed you by, and opportunities appear to have passed you by. Yet God is saying, even you, you are going to experience the showers. Is your life full of twigs, seeds of weeds? Heaven wants to put your life in order and clear your ground because the showers are here. Do you want to experience these showers? In preparation, I want to encourage you to surrender your life to this kind God.

Prayer (hymn):  Lord, I hear of showers of blessing, Thou art scattering full and free. Showers the thirsty land refreshing; let Your showers fall on me. Even me, even me, let Your showers fall on me. Amen!
