Embrace Humility

Adopt Humility
Philip. 2:4-5 “Get beyond yourselves and protecting your own interests; be sincere, and secure your neighbours’ interests first. In other words, adopt the mind-set of Jesus the Anointed. Live with His attitude in your hearts…” (Voice).

Let It Flow!
Lu.22:27 “Who is more important, the one who sits at the table or the one who serves? The one who sits at the table, of course. But not here! For I am among you as one who serves.” (emphasis added).
Even among the disciples Jesus had to deal with the matter of humility. Lu.22:24 -26 “Then they began to argue among themselves about who would be the greatest among them. Jesus told them, “In this world the kings and great men lord it over their people, yet they are called ‘friends of the people.’ But among you it will be different. James 4:10 “Humble yourselves in the Lord’s presence. Then he will give you a high position, and he will make you great.” [GW & ERV]
I humble myself because God resists the proud. I humble myself because God gives grace to the humble. Humble yourself because it is the key to your lifting. Humble yourself because it is the key to your promotion. Read the rest of this entry
Humble Yourself
James 4:10 “Lay yourself bare, facedown to the ground, in humility before the Lord; and He will lift your head so you can stand tall.” [Voice].
Being humble is non-negotiable for a child of God. God does not overlook it. If you are going to have and sustain a walk with God, then you need to know that God does not overlook matters of humility. If you miss the Word, you will not miss the rod. Read the rest of this entry

2 Cor.3:5 “Not that we are adequate in ourselves so as to consider anything as having come from ourselves, but our adequacy is from God.” (NASB, emphasis added).
How do I plant my mustard seed faith? The first is, Listen To God. Listen more and do not assume that you already know what the person wants to say. Spouses do this a lot. It takes a conscious effort to stop assuming and actually listen. Read the rest of this entry
