Am I?

“But Jesus told him, “Anyone who puts a hand to the plow and then looks back is not fit for the Kingdom of God” Luke 9:62

In scripture, Jesus said some really hard things unapologetically. “But Jesus told him, “Anyone who puts a hand to the plow and then looks back is not fit for the Kingdom of God” Luke 9:62. That is really hard to say to someone who has pledged to follow you. The man was just asking for permission to say farewell to his Read the rest of this entry

All Or Nothing?

“And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together” Gen.22:8 [KJV]

Being sold out is so crucial. God took my wife and I through an interesting path, a season that God was challenging us to be totally sold out. We used to pastor in a denominational church before God called us out. But while we were there, I was running a business locally and internationally and they were doing well. Then Read the rest of this entry

All In!

“So Elisha returned to his oxen and slaughtered them. He used the wood from the plow to build a fire to roast their flesh. He passed around the meat to the townspeople, and they all ate. Then he went with Elijah as his assistant” 1 Kings 19:21

Interestingly when Elisha went to meet Elijah to ask for permission to go back and say goodbye his people guess what Elijah said? How is that my business? Is that a nice thing to say? Not at all, for someone that is going to let go of everything to follow this man of God. Elisha was definitely in for a roller coaster. He left his Read the rest of this entry

Sold Out?

“So Elisha returned to his oxen and slaughtered them. He used the wood from the plow to build a fire to roast their flesh. He passed around the meat to the townspeople, and they all ate. Then he went with Elijah as his assistant” 1 Kings 19:21

The reason there are so many unhappy people is because a lot of people have made chasing happiness their preoccupation. Happiness is not an end but when you are fulfilling your purpose you will be happy. When you are fulfilling your purpose you will have pain but when you are fulfilling your purpose you will also have pleasure. Read the rest of this entry

Come What May

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek His will in all you do, and He will show you which path to take” Prov.3:5-6

I knew I was going to serve God but I never knew it was Pastoral, whatever my hand found to do I did with all my heart. I have served in almost every unit in Church, I have served in the technical unit, I have parked cars, I have served in Junior Church [God bless the children], I have served in the choir, I have served in Read the rest of this entry

Seed Of Greatness

“Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, in the grave when you die” Eccl.9:10

Today you find that a lot of people are totally obsessed with the next step. Some even credit their obsession to not knowing God’s plans. Listen the first thing you need to resolve in your heart and embrace completely with all your heart is that God’s plans are good plans and they favour you. It would help you to say it out loud Read the rest of this entry

With Purpose

“For I know the plans I have for you, says the LORD, they are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope” Jer.29:11

It is my prayer that this singular life that we have, we will all make it count in Jesus Name. The opposite of a life that counts is a wasted life and I am praying that none of our lives will be wasted in Jesus Name. Everyone that God created He created with a purpose. God had something in mind when He made you and I and Read the rest of this entry

Goal Setting III

“If you plan and work hard, you will have plenty; if you hurry to get rich, you will end up poor” Prov.21:5 [CEV].

#7. R is for REVELATION. What Scripture supports your goal? As believers all our goals should be scriptural [based on the Bible]. There should be a revelation that backs up the goals you set. A Christian man decides one day that his goal for that year is to marry a second wife. He Read the rest of this entry

Goal Setting II

“Good planning and hard work lead to prosperity, but hasty shortcuts lead to poverty” Prov.21:5

#4. R is REALISTIC. Is it a realistic goal? For some people in their late twenties running into their thirties, their goal is to control how they grow horizontally. That is a valid goal but an unrealistic goal is someone of the same age bracket looking to control how he or she grows vertically. Read the rest of this entry

Goal Setting I

“The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance, but everyone who is hasty comes only to poverty” Prov.21:5 [ESV]

Sit down with God, come up with goals, and write the goals down. Writing down a specific goal will increase your odds of achieving it by about ten times. In other words, a written goal is ten times more possible to come to pass than goals that are not written down. “The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance, but everyone who is hasty comes only to poverty” Prov.21:5 [ESV].
