Refuse To Be Offended II

For I tell you this, you will never see me again until you say, ‘Blessings on the one who comes in the name of the Lord!’ Matt.23:39

Job’s wife probably ate with him on the same plate and enjoyed all the wealth with him. But now Job was going through a hard time and this same wife said, “you are still maintaining your integrity before this God? curse God and die” [Job 2:9]. Perhaps so that she can marry somebody else. That’s my thinking because why else would she want him dead? She didn’t say it but why did she want him to die? Probably Read the rest of this entry

Refuse To Be Offended I

“And blessed (happy, fortunate, and to be envied) is he who takes no offense at Me and finds no cause for stumbling in or through Me and is not hindered from seeing the Truth” Matt.11:6 [AMP]

“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” Rom.10:17 [NKJV]. Take note, faith comes by hearing and hearing. You will always require faith to walk with God. And the faith you require comes by hearing and hearing the Word of God. Which is why we always advise that whether you attended the service or not, get the message on CD or in MP3 and listen to the Word over and over. Let it fire up your Read the rest of this entry

Re-Affirm

“Jesus told them, “Go back to John and tell him what you have heard and seen— the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cured, the deaf hear, the dead are raised to life, and the Good News is being preached to the poor” Matt.11:4-5.

Sometimes, our circumstances or the circumstances in which we find ourselves threaten our intimacy. “Are you the Messiah we’ve been expecting, or should we keep looking for someone else?” Matt.11:3. Now think about it, how can John the Baptist ask such a question after all he has seen? How can he ask such a question after all he has been through? Remember, John was six months older than Jesus. John met Jesus first in the womb [Luke 1:41]. So John knew Jesus even by revelation [Mark 1:7]. He didn’t take it for Read the rest of this entry

Relational Impact

‘Many Samaritans from the village believed in Jesus because the woman had said, “He told me everything I ever did!”’ John 4:39.

Your vertical relationship with The One influences your horizontal relationships with people. This means your horizontal relationship with people is a reflection of your vertical relationship with The One. If you see someone that is grumpy, easily angered, and always picking a fight, guess what? -that person’s issue is not with you but rather it is with The One. Just tell him or her to go and see The One. When people are spitting Read the rest of this entry

The Only One!

‘Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?” John 11:40 [NIV]

For a lot of us, due to apparent delays, we have begun to ask the same question that John the Baptist asked after he had been in prison for a while. “Are You the Coming One, or do we look for another?” Martha faced similar delays. She had called Jesus to come and heal her brother Lazarus but Jesus delayed. Jesus then shows up after Lazarus had died and Martha says, “Well, Jesus, it’s too late right now to heal my brother”. The One

And when John had heard in prison about the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples and said to Him, “Are You the Coming One, or do we look for another?” Matt.11:2-3

Jesus is easily the most dominant figure in all history and He poses the most important question to Peter and to us. ‘…He asked His disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?” Matt.16:13. Your response to this very important question determines where you will spend eternity. H. G. Wells says, “I am a historian, I am not a believer. But I must confess as a historian that this penniless preacher from Nazareth is irrevocably the very center of history. Jesus Christ is easily the most dominant figure in all history”. It is not new that people have tried to commonize Jesus Read the rest of this entry

Jesus Is _

‘Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me’ John 14:6

Jesus is the center of the purpose and the existence of the church. The church teaches morals but the church is not all about morals. The church is all about Jesus. Beyond the church, the world does not even know that the world is all about Jesus. The entire history of mankind revolves around the person of Jesus. In fact, our dating system revolves around Jesus, everything that happened before He walked the earth is B.C and everything that happens after His death and Read the rest of this entry

Prayerful Beginnings IV

‘God’s way is perfect. All the Lord’s promises prove true. He is a shield for all who look to him for protection’ Ps.18:30.

For who is God except the Lord? Who but our God is a solid rock? Ps.18:31. There is neither help nor protection in any other except the Lord. Except the Lord protects, there is no protection in any other. In applying the law of continual coming, we are going to continue in the place of prayer with thanksgiving.

We are going to be praying a covering over our lives, our homes, our children, our marriages, our finances, and God’s Read the rest of this entry

Prayerful Beginnings III

‘Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain’ Ps.127:1 [KJV]

We need to understand that all power belongs to God. Jehovah has the final say. People may work tirelessly but unless the Lord approves, it cannot stand. So today we are going to continue still in the place of prayer because Jesus promises that if we ask and keep on asking, we will receive what we ask for. If we seek and keep on seeking, we will find what we seek. And if we knock and keep on knocking, the door shall be opened unto us. You will receive, you will find, and the Read the rest of this entry

Prayerful Beginnings II

‘Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. This is good and pleases God our Savior’ 1Tim.2:2-3.

If only Christians knew the power in prayer, they will pray without ceasing about anything and everything. Prayer is so important. Today we will continue in the place of prayer. We are going to start by commanding everything that has stood as a gate before us or will stand as a gate before us to be lifted up. ‘Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of gloryPs.24:7-10 [KJV]. Pray concerning your home, marriage, finances, and for Nigeria. Read the rest of this entry
