Nuptial Word
‘Look in the scroll of the Lord and read: None of these will be missing, not one will lack her mate. For it is his mouth that has given the order, and his Sprit will gather them together’ Isa.34:16 [NIV].
There are a lot of single Christian ladies of marriageable age who are trusting God for a Christian husband yet all their suitors are not Christians. And the number one question on their lips is what should I do? Honestly my heart goes out to them. Every real Pastor’s heart aches for his people who desire to get married and are not yet married. We are praying for you and we trust that God will bring your spouse in the Mighty Name of Jesus. Yet for our own posterity, it is in our best interest that we defer to the authority of the Word Read the rest of this entry
Profitable Word II
‘There should be no poor among you, for the Lord your God will greatly bless you in the land He is giving you as a special possession’ Deut.15:4
Will every Christian be wealthy? You have to start by ascertaining what defines wealth then to move from there. From Deuteronomy 15:4, it is clear that God has made provision such that there won’t be any poor amongst His people. ‘You will receive this blessing if you are careful to obey all the commands of the Lord your God that I am giving you today. The Lord your God will bless you as he has promised. You will lend money to many nations but you will never need to borrow. You will rule many nations, but they will Read the rest of this entry
Profitable Word I
‘All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work’ 2 Tim.3:16-17 [NIV]
‘For ever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven’ Ps.119:89 [KJV]. The Word of God is the highest authority. I find it ludicrous when people decide to discard the Word of God and attempt to answer questions based on logic alone. I really cannot discuss with such people because in my life I have decided that God’s Word is the highest authority. You have to make God’s Word the highest authority in your life otherwise you will have no premise for your decisions. If you want to be thoroughly equipped for every good work then you Read the rest of this entry
Learn and Grow!
‘All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness’ 2 Tim.3:16 [KJV].
We all have certain questions that we wrestle with time and time again. Some of them may sound ridiculous to some of us that are perhaps more matured spiritually. But the truth is some people are still dealing with those issues in their lives and the issues must be addressed. Regardless of your spiritual state, it is profitable to deal with such issues so as to learn and grow plus help others grow. Asking questions is supposed to be a way of life really and we often see this play out with children. ‘Ask and it will be given to you; Read the rest of this entry
Voice Of Gratitude
‘Then Naaman and his entire party went back to find the man of God. They stood before him, and Naaman said, “Now I know that there is no God in all the world except in Israel. So please accept a gift from your servant’ 2 kings 5:15
The final voice that Naaman experienced was the voice of gratitude. Many times we do not show gratitude to God. In fact, gratitude to God becomes a second thought. I have been guilty of this, I believe, in the past. I would pray to God for something major. I’d stay in the place of prayer for as long as it takes and trust God to bring it to pass. Then God does it and I am excited and happy. I call my wife we talk about it but I never really say thank you to God. Then God prompts me Read the rest of this entry
Voice Of Obedience
‘But his officers tried to reason with him and said, “Sir, if the prophet had told you to do something very difficult, wouldn’t you have done it? So you should certainly obey him when he says simply, ‘Go and wash and be cured!’ 2 kings 5:13.
The fourth voice Naaman experienced was the voice of obedience. The only voice that came from within Naaman was the voice of logic. All the other voices came from without. Be careful who you surround yourself with. Naaman’s officers helped him see reason with the instruction of the prophet. What counsel are you receiving from those around you? Are they helping you follow God’s path into the fulfillment of your destiny? Or are they confusing you and causing you to stray away Read the rest of this entry
Voice Of Logic
‘Aren’t the rivers of Damascus, the Abana and the Pharpar, better than any of the rivers of Israel? Why shouldn’t I wash in them and be healed?” So Naaman turned and went away in a rage’ 2 kings 5:12
The third voice that Naaman experienced was the voice of logic – the voice of reason. In Naaman’s logical mind, there were rivers in Damascus that were far better than the rivers in Israel. If all he required was to be dipped and become clean then why was it necessary to come all the way to Israel? It did not make any sense to him. Many times God’s instruction does not align with your thinking. Naaman had a fair idea of how the healing process would play out. He expected that the Read the rest of this entry
Voice Of Instruction
‘But Elisha sent a messenger out to him with this message: “Go and wash yourself seven times in the Jordan River. Then your skin will be restored, and you will be healed of your leprosy’ 2 kings 5:10.
The second voice Naaman experienced after he moved in the direction of the first voice was the voice of instruction. ‘Elisha sent a messenger out to him with this message: “Go and wash yourself seven times in the Jordan River. Then your skin will be restored, and you will be healed of your leprosy”. This made Naaman extremely furious. “I thought he would certainly come out to meet me!” he said. “I expected him to wave his hand over the leprosy and call on the name of the Read the rest of this entry
Voice Of Direction
‘One day the girl said to her mistress, “I wish my master would go to see the prophet in Samaria. He would heal him of his leprosy’ 2 king 5:3.
Naaman experienced five voices. We must understand these five voices. A lot of people experience the first three voices but I am praying that we’ll get to experience the last two in addition. The first voice that Naaman experienced was the voice of direction. The voice of direction said to Naaman there is a prophet in Israel. Many of us are looking for the voice of direction. Some are waiting for thunder and lightening and the voice of God. For Naaman, the voice of direction came from Read the rest of this entry
King, Priest, and Prophet
‘And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen’ Rev.1:6 [KJV].
‘The letter to the king of Israel said: “With this letter I present my servant Naaman. I want you to heal him of his leprosy.” When the king of Israel read the letter, he tore his clothes in dismay and said, “This man sends me a leper to heal! Am I God, that I can give life and take it away? I can see that he’s just trying to pick a fight with me’ 2 Kings 5:6-7. The king of Aram placed a demand on the king of Israel for what only a prophet can deliver. The king of Israel immediately Read the rest of this entry
