Lovelier Ride

John 10:10 “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” (ESV)

Let Peace Rule!

Colossians 3:15 “And let the peace (soul harmony which comes) from Christ rule (act as umpire continually) in your hearts [deciding and settling with finality all questions that arise in your minds, in that peaceful state]…” (AMPC, emphasis added).

Imagine your mind is a soccer game and the peace of God is the umpire (referee). There are certain things that are not offside, but the peace of God will rule them as offside. Why? It is because it is ruling in your favour, Read the rest of this entry

From Within

John 7:38-39 “‘Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.” By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive. Up to that time the Spirit had not been given…” (NIV, emphasis added)

Jesus came so that you may have life. And the key to this life in God is the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the one who unlocks this life. And this life that Jesus is talking

Ecclesia

Matthew 16:18 “…upon this rock I will build my church, and all the powers of hell will not conquer it.”

With all that is going on in the world today, one of the questions in people’s hearts is why church? A friend was telling me about three men who said the only reason they used to go to physical church was they were always afraid bad things would happen to them if they did not go to church physically. The COVID-19 pandemic had demystified church for them, so they had removed church from their calendar. Read the rest of this entry

The Turnaround

John 5:8-9 “Jesus told him, “Stand up, pick up your mat, and walk!” Instantly, the man was healed! He rolled up his sleeping mat and began walking! But this miracle happened on the Sabbath”

Peter and John were going to pray at the temple, and they saw a crippled man by the beautiful gate. The man was looking at them hoping to get some money from them. Read the rest of this entry

Lifted

Acts 4:18-20 “So they called the apostles back in and commanded them never again to speak or teach in the name of Jesus. But Peter and John replied, “Do you think God wants us to obey you rather than him? We cannot stop telling about everything we have seen and heard.”

We will kick off today’s devotional by just spending some time in reading God’s Word. I want you to read it aloud and let God’s Word just explode on the inside of you. I cannot count how many times I have read this passage of Scripture and I am sure you have read it a number of times too. Read the rest of this entry

By The Spirit

Zechariah 4:6 “Then he said to me, “This [continuous supply of oil] is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel [prince of Judah], saying, ‘Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit [of whom the oil is a symbol],’ says the Lord of hosts.” (AMP)

Your story will be that of divine lifting as God Himself will lift you up in the Name of Jesus. However, it is important to note there are certain things spiritually that resist the lifting up of people’s heads. There are certain altars that resist people from lifting up their heads. Your Lifting

Psalm 18:16-17 “You reached down from heaven, and you lifted me from deep in the ocean. You rescued me from enemies, who were hateful and too powerful for me.” (CEV).

God has said this is your season of lifting and to lift is to raise, to elevate, to move not just from one level to another, but from a lower level to a higher level. So, God will lift you mentally in the Name of Jesus. For some people, the challenge is that the level of their mental reasoning is just too low. Read the rest of this entry

Compass

Isaiah 64:3-4 “When you came down long ago, you did awesome deeds beyond our highest expectations. And oh, how the mountains quaked! For since the world began, no ear has heard and no eye has seen a God like you, who works for those who wait for him!”

Martha made very boastful statements about what she believed, but did Martha really believe? John 11:39 Roll the stone aside,” Jesus told them. But Martha, the dead man’s sister, protested, “Lord, he has been dead for four days. The smell will be terrible.”Martha objected, protested, carried a placard, she resisted Jesus. Sometimes we say very high-sounding nonsense. Read the rest of this entry
