Voice Recognition
1 Cor.14:10 [KJV] “There are, it may be, so many kinds of voices in the world, and none of them is without signification”
We are confident that because of the spiritual journey God has taken us on in the past few days, a lot of us now know how to tune into God’s frequency, identify the different channels through which God speaks to us, and how to tune clearly into the voice and expressions of the Holy Spirit. I pray that God will even take us further and higher in Jesus Mighty Name.
So how do we recognize God’s voice amidst the very many voices everywhere? Scripture clearly points out that there are voices in the Read the rest of this entry
My Station
Ps.46:10 [NIV, emphasis added] “Be still, and know that I am God.”
God speaks to people who take the time to listen. When you still yourself, you are better able to listen and God is able to speak to you. He is able to breathe upon you. When the water is disturbed, it is almost impossible to see the bottom of the swimming pool. But when that same water is still, you can see through clearly.
God takes us to a new level [and He will continue to take us higher in Him in Jesus Name], but while we are getting into the flow of Read the rest of this entry
Expressions II
Job 33:14-17 [LB] “God speaks again and again, in dreams, in visions of the night… as they lie on their beds. He opens their ears in times like that, …gives them wisdom and instruction, causing them to change their minds, …keeping them from pride… and from falling into some trap.”
Should I let you in on a secret? Let’s say I have a delicate meeting the next day and I need to know God’s mind. Before I go to bed, after praying and worshiping, the last words that come out of my mouth are, “Lord, what do I tell this person or how do I Read the rest of this entry
Expressions I
Job 33:14-17 [LB] “God speaks again and again, in dreams, in visions of the night… as they lie on their beds. He opens their ears in times like that, …gives them wisdom and instruction, causing them to change their minds, …keeping them from pride… and from falling into some trap.”
God speaks to us through expressions of the Holy Spirit. The second expression of the Holy Spirit that we will be looking at is Visions. A vision is a picture, still picture or motion picture that God shows you while you are awake. I am not talking about trance. With a vision, you are standing. A lot of the Words of knowledge that God gives us in God’s Favourite House is a combination of visions. So while I am Read the rest of this entry
His Channels III
Rom.1:20 For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God [with emphasis].
So far we have examined three channels God uses to speak to us. If you are not reading your Bible consistently, if you are not listening to messages over and over again, and if you are not accountable to other believers, you do not have believers that are speaking into your life, you have already missed three main channels God speaks through. Proof
John 10:3-4 “…the sheep recognize his voice and come to him. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. After he has gathered his own flock, he walks ahead of them, and they follow him because they know his voice”
It is so important for you to hear God for yourself. If you cannot hear God for yourself, people will attempt to lead you in their own direction. My advice is, go into your closet and pray. Ask your Father in heaven and He will speak to you about His heart for you. God is not an author of confusion. Read the rest of this entry
Favour Magnet
Deut.28:2 [NKJV] “And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God”
What are those things that the Holy Spirit has been prompting you to work on and what are you waiting for? God is prompting you to work on your fitness so that you will be strong, but you are sitting tight and saying “By the grace of God”. Stop giving God a bad name! Do not get me wrong I do believe in miracles but I assure you, this is the secret of greatness right here in the Word of God. Read the rest of this entry
Engage It
“This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare” 1 Tim.1:18 [NKJV]
What has God said to you this year? Keep it before you because if you do not engage the Word, you will not get the full benefit of that Word. The Word of God says that we should wage a good warfare with the prophecies that have been said over us [paraphrased]. So it is one thing to have a prophecy and it is another thing to engage the prophecy. And one of the key things to engaging the Word is thorough understanding of how that Word can be applied. Think Clearly
“So I run with purpose in every step. I am not just shadowboxing” 1 Cor.9:26
Human beings are very impulsive. The average person acts impulsively. They just go with the wind and the whim of their emotions. But you do not have to be average. God wants you to act strategically. God wants you to act based on clear thoughts and not based on what is thrown at you. When you find yourself in situations where things are being thrown at you, God wants you to think and think clearly. When the farmer’s dog is restless and the farmer wants to wear his dog out, he simply takes the dog to a large field with rabbits. The dog spots the first rabbit and chases it. How To…
And after the earthquake there was a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire there was the sound of a gentle whisper” 1 Kings 19:12 [emphasis added]
Elijah wanted to hear God but God was not in the wind, or in the earthquake, or in the fire. God was in the gentle whisper; the still small voice. Many times we are busy looking for the dramatic but God is saying I am here. And because God is simple, we walk past Him without even realizing it. And because God is simple, we get an instruction from God but we do not even know it. When Jesus came, He came in a manger and He is God. He was so simple they missed Him. The Bible says, He came to His own and His own did not receive Him. Why didn’t they receive Him? Read the rest of this entry
