Destiny Dilemma II

2 Sam.9:1 “One day David asked, “Is anyone in Saul’s family still alive—anyone to whom I can show kindness for Jonathan’s sake?”

1 Sam.20:30-42 highlights Jonathan’s destiny dilemma. Should Jonathan have gone with David or did he do the right thing by staying with Saul? I know we dealt extensively with this in yesterday’s devotional. But I want to Read the rest of this entry

Never Empty

2 Kings 4:3 “…Borrow as many empty jars as you can from your friends and neighbors. 4 Then go into your house with your sons and shut the door behind you. Pour olive oil from your flask into the jars…” 7…sell the olive oil and pay your debts, and you and your sons can live on what is left over.”

Life is not a straight line, things happen to us. We get battered and we lose stuff. But the mistake most people make is to lose hope because of the things they have lost. Read the rest of this entry

Step Up

Rev.5:9 “…You are worthy to take the scroll and break its seals and open it. For you were slaughtered, and your blood has ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation. 10 And you have caused them to become a Kingdom of priests for our God…”

The final prophecy that we would be looking at is: the Messiah would be seated at God’s right hand. Read the rest of this entry

The Name

Luke 1:27 “to a virgin named Mary. She was engaged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of King David… 30 “Don’t be afraid, Mary,” the angel told her, “for you have found favor with God! 31 You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you will name him Jesus.

The truth is that God knows exactly where you were born before you were born. You were not born by accident. Many of us think we are Nigerians by accident. Read the rest of this entry

Lead The Way

Mk.5:36 Overhearing what they said, Jesus told him, “Don’t be afraid; just believe.” 41 He took her by the hand and said to her, “Talitha koum!” (which means “Little girl, I say to you, get up!” {ARISE}). 42 Immediately the girl stood up and began to walk around…” [NIV, with emphasis].

First comes initiative, then personal prophesy, then good company, then the forth thing that lifts up is Instruction. Jesus gave the man an instruction and Jesus gave the girl an instruction. However, Read the rest of this entry

Submitted?

Job 23:14 “So he will do to me whatever he has planned. He controls my destiny.”

We have to submit to the process and let God expunge Egypt out of us. I have seen where curses are actually broken but the pattern of behaviour continued. Read the rest of this entry

Ten Strikes

Ex.12:12 “On that night I will pass through the land of Egypt and strike down every firstborn son and firstborn male animal in the land of Egypt. I will execute judgment against all the gods of Egypt, for I am the Lord!” [with emphasis].

You cannot negotiate with the devil, he is your arch enemy. It is truly erroneous to think that if you are good and you leave the devil alone, he will leave you alone. Read the rest of this entry

Turning Point

Ex.15:23 When they came to the oasis of Marah, the water was too bitter to drink. So they called the place Marah (which means “bitter”) … 25 So Moses cried out to the Lord for help, and the Lord showed him a piece of wood. Moses threw it into the water, and this made the water good to drink.

In Esau’s life we see the weight and the consequences [the Marah] of missed opportunity. Thankfully, God is merciful! Even in all, God still gave Esau a door, a way of escape. Read the rest of this entry

His Will

Ex.33:15 Then Moses said, “If you don’t personally go with us, don’t make us leave this place. 16 How will anyone know that you look favorably on me—on me and on your people—if you don’t go with us? For your presence among us sets your people and me apart from all other people on the earth.”

A lot of people are too self-absorbed, the best word for it is selfish. It is really unfortunate but for some certain people, when they cry for help, God does not respond. The reason is, when God had a need, Read the rest of this entry

It Is Time!

2 Chro. 20:20 (KJV) “… as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the Lord your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.”

God’s prophetic Word over your life and my life in this season is No More Marah! Do you receive it? If you do, then I want you to personalize and verbalize it, even as we come into full alignment with God’s prophetic Word. Read the rest of this entry
