Tune-In!

Luke 8:8 “…Whoever has ears to hear, let them hear.”

In today’s Scripture reference, Jesus is saying something that is very powerful. Jesus says “Whoever has ears to hear, let him hear.” Whoever has a radio to receive, let him tune-in. It is a sad thing to have ears to hear and not hear – to be equipped with everything to hear God consistently and, still not hear or tune-in to God’s frequency. Read the rest of this entry

Proof

John 10:3-4 “…the sheep recognize his voice and come to him. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. After he has gathered his own flock, he walks ahead of them, and they follow him because they know his voice

It is so important for you to hear God for yourself. If you cannot hear God for yourself, people will attempt to lead you in their own direction. My advice is, go into your closet and pray. Ask your Father in heaven and He will speak to you about His heart for you. God is not an author of confusion. Read the rest of this entry

His Voice

Heb.1:1-2 “Long ago God spoke many times and in many ways to our ancestors through the prophets.  And now in these final days, he has spoken to us through his Son…”

It is very humbling to hear the voice of God. One of the most abused statements that I have come across as a person is, “God told me to do xyz”. I do not think a lot of people appreciate how dangerous it is to make such a bold claim. This statement, in my opinion, is one of the most misunderstood statements and it can be Read the rest of this entry

Trigger

1 Kings 3:3-5 Solomon loved the Lord and followed all the decrees of his father, David… so the king went there and sacrificed 1,000 burnt offerings. That night the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream, and God said, “What do you want? Ask, and I will give it to you!”

I was talking to a little girl and our conversation touched on the subject of crying. So I asked her if she ever heard an adult cry, and she said yes. So I asked who? And she said her father. So I kind of mentally tried to prepare myself for what would come next. Then I asked her who? And she said, “My Dad!” I asked again, “You’ve seen your Dad cry?” She said, “yes!” Why, what happened? I asked. And she said, “My dad cries Read the rest of this entry

God Came For Us

“But the angel reassured them. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people .  The Savior—yes, the Messiah, the Lord—has been born today” Luke 2:10-11[emphasis added].

Since Christmas is about good news, what then is the good news about Christmas? Is the good news the supernatural birth by a virgin? Or is the good news the fact that there is a lot of feasting in this season? Or is the good news the gifts you have received or are about to receive? What is the good news about Christmas? I will illustrate this with a story. I went to a boarding school in Read the rest of this entry

Call And Response

“Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world” James 4:8.

Life change is like a call and response. It is about you moving towards God and God moving towards you. Guess what? It is your move now. I know that it seems like you are the one making the first move. But that is very far from the truth because God already made His move. So it is your move now. Take the step. God is waiting for you take a step towards Him. Read the rest of this entry

Share Jesus

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere…” Acts 1:8

As Christians, it is so important for us to tell other people about Jesus. When I got saved, I could not keep it in. I preached to all my friends and they saw that I was sincerely concerned for their eternity. I am not saying that you should be obnoxious but just open your mouth and tell people who are close to you but far from God, about Jesus. The question is, do you want them to go to hell?

God’s Family

“How could one person chase a thousand of them, and two people put ten thousand to flight, unless their Rock had sold them, unless the LORD had given them up?” Deu.32:30

“Each one of you will put to flight a thousand of the enemy, for the LORD your God fights for you, just as he has promised” Josh.23:10. I am sure you will agree with me that if God stopped here it is beautiful by itself. One person putting to flight a thousand is not normal. But if we go by the natural law of synergy, two will put to flight maybe three thousand, definitely more than two thousand, perhaps even four thousand maximum. But God says, one will Read the rest of this entry

Think & Thank

“Seven times every day I praise You because of Your right rulings. Those who love Your law have an abundance of peace, and nothing along their paths can cause them to stumble” Ps. 119:164-165 [Voice]

God’s instruction for us in this season is Re-Tune. We have seen some of the things that detune us. And we have learnt that the desired frequency, the pitch perfect tune is joy. This joy comes with righteousness and peace. So how do those of us that are out of tune re-tune? And how do those of us that Read the rest of this entry

Lifestyle Of Worship III

“So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him” Rom.12:1 [MSG].

How does worship become a lifestyle? Intersect your daily routines with your passion for God. And that is best described with the portion of Scripture quoted above. Intersect your daily routines with your passion for God. Mix your life with God. Let your life be mixed with worship. Imagine a blender, put your life into it, add worship, add praise, add Bible Reading, push the button and just blend it all Read the rest of this entry
