All-in-All
Ex.3:2 (NKJV) “And the Angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire from the midst of a bush. So he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, but the bush was not consumed. 3 Then Moses said, “I will now turn aside and see this great sight, why the bush does not burn.”
Fire usually needs wood to keep burning, but when God appeared in the burning bush, the bush did not burn up. God was making a statement that He does not need anything outside Himself to exist. Read the rest of this entry
Whose Control?
Ex.33:15 “Then Moses said, “If you don’t personally go with us, don’t make us leave this place. 16 How will anyone know that you look favorably on me—on me and on your people—if you don’t go with us? For your presence among us sets your people and me apart from all other people on the earth.”
Prioritize God’s presence over God’s present, prioritize His presence over His promises because it is His presence that brings distinction and that was the crux of Moses’ argument and negotiation with God. Read the rest of this entry
Habitation
Ps.27:4 (TPT) “…the one thing I seek above all else: I want the privilege of living with him every moment in his house, finding the sweet loveliness of his face, filled with awe, delighting in his glory and grace. I want to live my life so close to him that he takes pleasure in my every prayer.”
I see myself as God’s boy, God’s sheep and freedom for the sheep does not mean running away from the shepherd. In fact, the sheep is only free when it is with the shepherd. We learnt yesterday that one of the major keys to walking in freedom is the presence of the Spirit of Christ. Read the rest of this entry
Pursue Him
2 Cor.3:17 “For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.”
Job 22:28 (KJV) Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways. 29 When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up; and he shall save the humble person.” Read the rest of this entry
His Will
Ex.33:15 Then Moses said, “If you don’t personally go with us, don’t make us leave this place. 16 How will anyone know that you look favorably on me—on me and on your people—if you don’t go with us? For your presence among us sets your people and me apart from all other people on the earth.”
A lot of people are too self-absorbed, the best word for it is selfish. It is really unfortunate but for some certain people, when they cry for help, God does not respond. The reason is, when God had a need, Read the rest of this entry
Immanuel
Ex.15:11 (KJV) “Who is like unto thee, O Lord, among the gods? who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?”
We will start our devotion today with adoration. Adore this great God who excels in strength and power. Some are declaring other deities as their god, but we declare that Jesus is Lord, the God of the Heaven and the Earth. Read the rest of this entry
Access Key
Ps.100:4 “Enter his gates with thanksgiving; go into his courts with praise. Give thanks to him and praise his name.” [with emphasis].
Remember the resurrection story; after Jesus resurrected and Mary wanted to hug Him, Jesus refused because He had not yet taken the Blood of atonement to the altar in heaven. Read the rest of this entry
Unseen Reality
John 3:8 “The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.” [NIV]
If your Christianity is all about what you can see, then there is not much to be desired even from the world. The difference between the church and social clubs is the power of the Holy Spirit, it is the supernatural. Read the rest of this entry
Love Unstoppable
Matt. 28:2 Suddenly there was a great earthquake! For an angel of the Lord came down from heaven, rolled aside the stone, and sat on it. 3 His face shone like lightning, and his clothing was as white as snow. 4 The guards shook with fear when they saw him, and they fell into a dead faint.
When you look at that story in John 20:1-20 [please read], it almost does not make sense that Jesus would put so much at stake just to respond to Mary. However, the reason why He would do that is because He is love. Read the rest of this entry
Step Up!
Gal.6: 9 “So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.”
The story is told of a father and his teenage son. Periodically, the father pays a lawn mowing company to sort out the lawns around the house. One day the teenage son approached his father with this business proposal, ‘pay me Read the rest of this entry
