In Faith

Hebrews 11:1-2 “Faith is the assurance of things you have hoped for, the absolute conviction that there are realities you’ve never seen. It was by faith that our forebears were approved.” (Voice)

Hebrews 11:1What is faith? It is the confident assurance that something we want is going to happen. It is the certainty that what we hope for is waiting for us, even though we cannot see it up ahead.” (LB). Now that we know what faith is and how to grow in faith. Read the rest of this entry

Grow In Faith

Psalm 145:13 “For your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom. You rule throughout all generations. The Lord always keeps his promises; he is gracious in all he does”

Hebrews 4:14That is why we have a great High Priest who has gone to heaven, Jesus the Son of God.  Let us cling to him and never stop trusting him.” (paraphrased). I do not know what you are going through. But I am here to say to you, cling to Jesus. Read the rest of this entry

Faith Is… II

Hebrews 11:11 “Sarah, too, had faith… for she realized that God, who gave her his promise, would certainly do what he said.” (LB).

We know something will happen only when God says it will happen. Hebrews 11:11 “…Abraham trusted that God would keep his promise.” (GWT). Why did Abraham leave his home country and travel to a strange land? It is because God promised. Read the rest of this entry

Faith Is… I

Hebrews 11:1 “What is faith? It is the confident assurance that something we want is going to happen. It is the certainty that what we hope for is waiting for us, even though we cannot see it up ahead.” (LB, emphasis added).

Before we begin to look at growing our faith, let us first answer the question, what is faith? The first thing we need to realize about faith is that Faith Is Higher Than HOPE. Hope is wanting something to be that is not, and having no assurance that it will be. Read the rest of this entry

Ready?

Deuteronomy 6:5 “And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. Love God, your God… with all that’s in you, love him with all you’ve got!” (NLT&MSG)

Who would you say was the greatest king in the Bible? Can you guess? David? David was the most famous. But who did the Word of God call the greatest king in the Bible? Interestingly not David. Was it Solomon? Solomon was the wisest and arguably the wealthiest. Read the rest of this entry

Immediately

Genesis 22:2-3 “Take your son, your only son—yes, Isaac, whom you love so much—and go to the land of Moriah. Go and sacrifice him as a burnt offering… The next morning Abraham got up early. He saddled his donkey and… set out for the place God had told him about.”

I should move fast When God Tells Me to Do Something. For a lot of people, Jesus is beckoning on you. You need to respond immediately. For some, it is an instruction God has given to you, but you are not doing it immediately. That is the fastest way to get out of sync in life. Read the rest of this entry

Changeless

James 1:17 “Every good and perfect gift is from… the Fatherwho does not change like shifting shadows.” (NIV, emphasis added).

What kind of Father is God? God is a caring and consistent Father. The truth is that inconsistent fathers produce insecure children. When you see insecure children, check, they often have inconsistent fathers. Remember the statistics we shared some days ago? Read the rest of this entry

Rock Solid!

Matthew 16:18 “Now I say to you that you are Peter (which means ‘rock’), and upon this rock I will build my church, and all the powers of hell will not conquer it.”

Anything you build that is not built on Christ, the Word, is going to crumble. If it is your money, your finances, that you Read the rest of this entry

The Objective

Isaiah 62:7 “Tirelessly pester God—give Him no rest—until He re-establishes Jerusalem and makes it worthy of praise throughout the whole world.” (Voice)

The first phase Jacob experienced before he could walk in the blessing was the Crisis Phase. As it is said, God whispers in our pleasures, but He shouts in our pain. Pain helps us hear God shouting. Sometimes, God uses conflict, trauma, or pain to get our attention. Read the rest of this entry

All

Psalm 34:19 “Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord rescues them from them all.” (NRSV).

God wants us to remember even in the valley, that The Reward Will Last Forever! Remember God Has a Good Purpose Even For The Valley! And Remember that You Are Not Alone! God wants us to remember that regardless of the valleys we go through, we are never alone. I am not alone. Read the rest of this entry
