You Must I

1 Peter 1:22 “You must keep on loving with all your heart.” [CEV, with emphasis]

Paul says you and I “must keep on loving with all your heart”. When I read this I had to ask God to help me. You must keep loving not with a part of your heart but with all your heart. The question is how can one do that?  How do we keep on loving with all our hearts for a life time? Read the rest of this entry

Love Matters

1 Peter 1:22 “You must keep on loving with all your heart.” [CEV, with emphasis]

A lot of people relate with God based on His power and might. Such people would usually start their prayers like this, “Oh God of heaven, Thou mighty, magnificent, omnipotent God of the universe, I come to You today…” There is nothing wrong with that because God is all that and more. Open or Closed ?

Prov.11:24 “There is one who scatters, yet increases more; And there is one who withholds more than is right, but it leads to poverty” (NKJV).

God wants to release something to you and He is waiting for you to let go of what is in your hands. For some of us, what God has asked us to let go of is a bad habit. Substance abuse can kill you or affect your mental state negatively. Let it go! Remember, God is not just asking you to let it go and have nothing. He is saying let it go because He wants to release something into your hands. Read the rest of this entry

Let Go!

1 Sam.15:22 “Samuel: Does the Eternal One delight in sacrifices and burnt offerings as much as in perfect obedience to His voice? Be certain of this: that obedience is better than sacrifice; to heed His voice is better than offering the fat of rams” [Voice].

To come into what God has for us and to experience the miracles of God, the second thing we must do is Obey. Once you believe, the next thing is to obey. Jesus told the blind man in John 9:1-7 [please read], after putting mud in his eyes to go and wash and the man just went in obedience. Many people would argue but the blind man just obeyed. Fundamentals

Rev.1:8 “I am the Alpha and the Omega—the beginning and the end,” says the Lord God. “I am the one who is, who always was, and who is still to come—the Almighty One.”

Fundamentally, there is nothing wrong with logic or with reasoning. Have you not noticed that many great men of God are very intelligent people? C.S Louis was a genius. The Wesley brothers had flawless results and they went on to do great things. Right here in Nigeria, Pastor Adeboye has a Ph.D. in mathematics. Pastor Kumuyi is also a great mathematical mind. The Application

2 Kings 3:15 “Now bring me someone who can play the harp.” While the harp was being played, the power of the Lord came upon Elisha, 16 and he said, “This is what the Lord says: This dry valley will be filled with pools of water!

Elisha had the right seed, the right Word in his heart. He had the right soil but he did not have the right conditions and so he could not prophesy and miracles could not happen. Elisha understood this principle so he requested for a minstrel. Read the rest of this entry

God’s Principles

1 Cor.3:6 “I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase” [KJV]

The Right Seed + the Right Soil + the Right Conditions = Abundant Harvest. I am teaching you a principle, a principle that has worked in my life. Again, let me emphasize that it is God that brings the increase so do not get what I am about to say next wrong. I can almost work this formula at will. When people do not know the ways of God, they will think the increase is by chance. When you know the ways of God you can reproduce it.

Be Aware I

Ps.104:3 “You lay out the rafters of your home in the rain clouds.
You make the clouds your chariot; you ride upon the wings of the wind. 4 The winds are your messengers; flames of fire are your servants”

2 Kings 6:15 “When the servant of the man of God got up early the next morning and went outside, there were troops, horses, and chariots everywhere. “Oh, sir, what will we do now?” the young man cried to Elisha. Elisha said something very significant. 2 Kings 6:16 “Don’t be afraid!” Elisha told him. “For there are more on our side than on theirs!” [with emphasis]. If I were that man I would have said, “Sir, it is just you and me standing here and the armies outside are in their hundreds. How can you say there are more on our side?”

The Power

Rom.4:17 “…Abraham believed in the God… 18 Even when there was no reason for hope, Abraham kept hoping—believing that he would become the father of many nations. For God had said to him, “That’s how many descendants you will have!” [with emphasis]

Abraham kept hoping even when everything was speaking contrary- his body was speaking contrary, his wife’s body was speaking contrary, and even his culture was speaking contrary. Abraham’s friends must have had a field day mocking him, – from Abram [exalted father] to Abraham [father of nations] and still no children; he must have been the subject of every joke.

Even though everything was speaking contrary, Abraham believed and maintained a single line of command. If God has said it Read the rest of this entry

Single Minded

Ex.17:10 Joshua did exactly as Moses had instructed him to do…[Voice] 13 As a result, Joshua overwhelmed the army of Amalek in battle [NLT, with emphasis]

In your business, maintain a single line of command. In your home, it must be a single line of command. In your life, it must be a single line of command. Joshua could have challenged Moses instruction, “Why do I have to be the one to risk getting killed on the battle field? Let us switch places, you go and fight and give me the rod of God and I will stand on the mountain.” But who determined the victory, was it Joshua’s militancy or Moses on the hill? Aaron and Hur could have said to Moses, “Now that your hands are tired, it Read the rest of this entry
