Purposeful

Deut.7:6 “For you are a holy people, who belong to the Lord your God. Of all the people on earth, the Lord your God has chosen you to be his own special treasure.”

You would hardly hear Christians refer to themselves as holy. I have never heard it and I have been saved for more than twenty years. The word holy intimidates us meanwhile it is God’s big picture for us. Holy just means set apart. God wants to move us from where we are currently to where He wants us to be. Holy

Lev.19:2 “Give the following instructions to the entire community of Israel. You must be holy because I, the Lord your God, am holy.

When you see the big picture, you can cheer up even though you are going through a difficult time. When you see where God is taking you, and you embrace it because it is one thing to see it and another thing to embrace it. Read the rest of this entry

Never Ever!

1 Peter 2:9 (NKJV) “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvellous light”

You are going to let yourself down, it is standard. You are going to set goals that you will not achieve. I am saying this to you from a place of knowing. I have experienced this myself. At the beginning of the year, I set goals in the major areas of my life. Read the rest of this entry

Priority Focus

Dan.6: 26 “I decree that everyone throughout my kingdom should tremble with fear before the God of Daniel. For he is the living God, and he will endure forever. His kingdom will never be destroyed, and his rule will never end.”

Our discourse for today flows from where we concluded yesterday, which is the responsibility of headship. Men, do not let this become a cause of condemnation to you or become a weight on your shoulders. Instead, just Read the rest of this entry

Ambassador

1 Cor.15:19 (AMPC) “If we who are [abiding] in Christ have hope only in this life and that is all, then we are of all people most miserable and to be pitied.”

Christianity is not a fun fair. We are grateful to be on God’s side, and that our lives are not limited to this world alone. We have a hope of eternal life, everlasting life with God. Our decisions cannot be based on this world Read the rest of this entry

Your Identity

1 Peter 2:But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.

What names do you feel pressured by culture to accept or what names do you see people accepting from culture? I had a nickname when I was in secondary school. My friends had appended the word “scorpio” to my Read the rest of this entry

Word Not World!

Rom.12:Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.”

Babylon had and still has two main objectives; the first is to change your identity and the second is to change your worldview. The Babylon system of thinking was forced upon Daniel and his friends in much the same way our Read the rest of this entry

God not “god”

2 Chron.7:14 (AMPC, with emphasis) “If My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek, crave, and require of necessity My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.”

The truth is that God’s heart is for His people to be called by His Name. As children of God, our names [our identities] have to be rooted in God. Read the rest of this entry

Identity

Dan.1:6 “Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah… all from the tribe of Judah. The chief of staff renamed them with these Babylonian names: Daniel was called Belteshazzar. Hananiah was called Shadrach. Mishael was called Meshach. Azariah was called Abednego.

The number one objective of the Babylonian chief of staff in renaming Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah with Babylonian names was to give Read the rest of this entry

In The Name

Gen.17:4 “This is my covenant with you: I will make you the father of a multitude of nations! What’s more, I am changing your name. It will no longer be Abram. Instead, you will be called Abraham, for you will be the father of many nations

As we press in further in our study of Daniel, we trust that God will intensify His presence with us in Jesus Name. God is delivering things to us in this season, particularly to those in business, Read the rest of this entry
