Purposeful

Deut.7:6 “For you are a holy people, who belong to the Lord your God. Of all the people on earth, the Lord your God has chosen you to be his own special treasure.”

You would hardly hear Christians refer to themselves as holy. I have never heard it and I have been saved for more than twenty years. Cheer Up!

Ps.63:5 “You satisfy me more than the richest feast. I will praise you with songs of joy.”

The mystery about life is that there would always be something missing. Yes, Jesus says our joy will be full and it will. However, when that joy is full, there is always a higher level. Read the rest of this entry

The Intent

1 Cor.12:6-8 “God works in different ways, but it is the same God who does the work in all of us. A spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help each other. To one person the Spirit gives the ability to give wise advice; to another the same Spirit gives a message of special knowledge”

The purpose of the gifts of the Holy Spirit is to bless God’s Church, God’s people. It is so that when we gather in fellowship, we can give an accurate Word. As you study the Bible together and share, someone is able to get direction because of the manifestation of the gift of Word of wisdom. Read the rest of this entry

Embrace Him

Job 23:13-14 “But once he has made his decision, who can change his mind? Whatever he wants to do, he does. So he will do to me whatever he has planned. He controls my destiny.”

The first thing we learn from Matt.26:36-46 (please read) on how Jesus dealt with pain and translated it to glory is, you have to embrace pain. Pain is your friend. Say it aloud, pain is my friend. Read the rest of this entry

The Profit

Ps.119:71 “My suffering was good for me, for it taught me to pay attention to your decrees. 72. Your instructions are more valuable to me than millions in gold and silver.”

Purpose & Produce

2 Cor.4:17 “For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever!”

The next fact you need to know about suffering is, In The End, We Win. No matter how tough the battle is, in the end, we win. Check the scriptures; that is what the Bible tells us from Genesis to Revelations. Read the rest of this entry

Destiny Dilemma I

John 1:26 (NIV) “I baptize with water,” John replied, “but among you stands one you do not know. 27 He is the one who comes after me, the straps of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie.”

1 Cor.15:41 (Voice)Even among the heavenly bodies, there is a different level of brilliance: the sun shines differently than the moon, the moon differently than the stars, and the stars themselves differ in their brightness.” The key Read the rest of this entry

Unwavering Hope

Patient Concentration

Ps.37:7 Be still in the presence of the Lord and wait patiently for him to act. Don’t worry about evil people who prosper or fret about their wicked schemes.

Prayer is countercultural. In our culture we are typically distracted, but prayer takes concentration. It used to be children that have short attention spans, but these days adults have very short attention span. Read the rest of this entry
