Principles II

2 Peter 1:8 (Voice) “For if you possess these traits and multiply them, then you will never be ineffective or unproductive in your relationship with our Lord Jesus the Anointed”

Usually, after the Worship Experiences on Sundays, I hang around in church or at the car park greeting people. One Sunday in particular, I greeted a mother and her son. Read the rest of this entry

Principles I

Amos 3:3 “Can two people walk together without agreeing on the direction?”

We are all connected by the Blood of Christ and by the values that we share. The benefit of values is the reward of a principled life. We will be sharing twelve values, Read the rest of this entry

Common Ground

Eccl.4:9 “Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed.”

God, Himself says two are better than one. Matt.18:19I also tell you this: If two of you agree here on earth concerning anything you ask, my Father in heaven will do it for you.” Read the rest of this entry

The Heart Of It

John 12:26 (MSG) “If any of you wants to serve me, then follow me. Then you’ll be where I am, ready to serve at a moment’s notice. The Father will honour and reward anyone who serves me”

Luke 14:15 (MSG) “That triggered a response from one of the guests: “How fortunate the one who gets to eat dinner in God’s kingdom!” There is an angle to this guest’s response that we easily miss. Read the rest of this entry

The Difference

Matt.5:48 (MSG) “In a word, what I’m saying is, Grow up. You’re kingdom subjects. Now live like it. Live out your God-created identity. Live generously and graciously toward others, the way God lives toward you.”

Wherever I find myself, in church and otherwise, I look for opportunities to serve because serving is a priority for me. When I was in RCCG – City of David, Read the rest of this entry

Lookout

James 4:10 (Voice) “Lay yourself bare, face down to the ground, in humility before the Lord; and He will lift your head so you can stand tall.”

Please read Luke 17:7-10. The first lesson from this passage of scripture is that true servants do not wait for accolades or wait to get patted on the back. Read the rest of this entry

Threshold

2 Cor.8:5 “They even did more than we had hoped, for their first action was to give themselves to the Lord and to us, just as God wanted them to do.”

God is not a resource or a commodity – God is our Father and Master. When we see God as our Father and Master, and we love God and serve Him as we ought, serving people becomes natural. Read the rest of this entry

Serving?

John 14:10-11 “Don’t you believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words I speak are not my own, but my Father who lives in me does his work through me. Just believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me…”

We must give ourselves to thinking deeply. Note that I did not say worrying. Do not be quick to sweep things away and move on to the next thing. Stay on the matter until something happens, Read the rest of this entry

Revealed

Eph.4:1 “Therefore, I a prisoner for serving the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God. 2 Always be humble and gentle…” [with emphasis].

What has God told you to do but you have left undone? Who has God told you to forgive that you have not forgiven? What has God told you to give, but you are still holding unto? When you obey and forgive, Read the rest of this entry

Passion Speaks

1 Chr. 21:24 “But King David replied to Araunah, “No, I insist on buying it for the full price. I will not take what is yours and give it to the Lord. I will not present burnt offerings that have cost me nothing!”

Muscles are developed through resistance. If it does not cost you anything, chances are that it is not going to take you anywhere. I saw a tweet by @Sports HQ that captured this so aptly, “Obsessed is just the word the lazy use to describe the dedicated”. Read the rest of this entry
