When we were being trained to pastor, one of the things we were taught is, as you climb spiritually, make sure you carry your spouse along. I say spouse because sometimes it is the women that climb faster. In any case, just ensure that you carry your spouse along. Why? A lot of times we are so caught up with racing to the top that we miss out on vital lessons we need to learn along the way to the top. Never ignore the things you think are time wasting or useless.
