Take Note II
“To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne” Rev.3:21[KJV]
Take note, it is God that will give you victory! [Deu.20:4] . Another thing you should take note of is this; in the Book of Revelations Jesus kept saying, “to him that overcometh I will give…” [cf.: Rev. 2:7, 17& 26; 3:21]. It is a recurrent theme in the Book of Revelations. If Jesus says there is a reward for those that overcome, it means that there is something to overcome. If there is going to be victory, it means there is going to be battle. But the assurance we have Read the rest of this entry
Take Note I
“They did not conquer the land with their swords; it was not their own strong arm that gave them victory. It was your right hand and strong arm and the blinding light from your face that helped them, for you loved them” Ps.44:3
I am really excited to be alive today and I hope you are too because it is only the living that can praise God [at least on earth]. Usually as seasons change and we approach a new season, even before I became a Pastor, as a Christian I would sit with God and try to discern His mind for the coming season. I believe every believer should do this actually, even on a daily basis. Which is why we have devotions, a time where you can sit quietly with God to get His Read the rest of this entry
Your Duty
“Joshua sent some of his men from Jericho to spy out the town of Ai, east of Bethel, near Beth-aven. When they returned, they told Joshua, “There’s no need for all of us to go up there… Since there are so few of them” Josh.7:2-3
When this season is over, everything that was holding you back from Standing Tall would have lost its grip totally. You are going to Stand Tall, shoulder high in every phase of your life. You are going Stand Tall in your industry, your country, your family, and in your life.
Please read Joshua 7:2-13. This is a strong word but it is the Word to do us good and to ensure that we have no defeat in Read the rest of this entry
Be Aware!
“When Elisha was in his last illness, King Jehoash of Israel visited him and wept over him. “My father! My father! I see the chariots and charioteers of Israel!” he cried” 2Kings13:14
Over the next few days we will be looking at the life of Jehoash [Joash]. Jehoash’s father, during his reign as king, did not serve God and God was angry with him. However, he passed on and Jehoash came into power. You would think that a son would learn from his father’s mistakes but inadvertently most sons just repeat their father’s errors. I am praying that you Read the rest of this entry
Get Up!
“ Once after a sacrificial meal at Shiloh, Hannah got up and went to pray. Eli the priest was sitting at his customary place beside the entrance of the Tabernacle” 1 Sam.1:9
Hannah did not allow the lame consolation of Elkanah dampen her pursuit. Hannah did not allow the “deceitful” portion of choice to deceive her into abandoning her pursuit and make her to begin to eat. Some people, even though they are believing God for something, will opt out of corporate spiritual movements because they do not want to stress themselves. Come on! Can you not hold God’s hands Read the rest of this entry
Guaranteed Victory
“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death” Rev.12:11 [KJV]
“Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there” Gal.5:24. Do not toy with the desires of the flesh. Recognize the desires of their flesh and put it on the Cross of Calvary. Like someone beautifully puts it, “the Cross simply is the place where your will crosses with the will of the Holy Spirit”. Hear His Word
‘…and the sheep recognize his voice and come to him. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. After he has gathered his own flock, he walks ahead of them, and they follow him because they know his voice’ John 10:3-4.
It is important that you hear God in this season and I am confident that some of us are hearing God already. It is important to hear God for yourself because it will determine which way you will go or who you will follow. Again I am praying over you, you will hear God clearly, in Jesus Name. While Moses will hear from God directly, Aaron would just run with what Moses told him. When Aaron was under pressure, he built a golden Read the rest of this entry
Consistent Victory
‘Therefore David enquired of the Lord, saying, Shall I go and smite these Philistines? And the Lord said unto David, Go, and smite the Philistines, and save Keilah’ 1Sam.23:2 [KJV]
Let us chronicle the battles of David and I am praying that this births in you the fire to claim your victory consistently. Remember we are under a better covenant and we are fighting from the place of victory. David fought goliath [1Sam.17]; David fought Saul [1Sam.18-20]; David fought the philistines [1Sam.23:1-5]; David fought the Geshurite, the Girzites, and the Amalekites [1Sam.27]; David fought the Amalekites [1Sam.30]; David fought the Read the rest of this entry
You Win
‘Blessed be the Lord my strength which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight’ Ps.144:1 [KJV]
Over the next few days we will be focused on the military battles of David. David fought other battles; for instance emotional battles, he did not do very well in those battles. David did not loose a single war – not one. That’s is just awesome. The Bible in the Book of Chronicles lists kings and the wars they fought. The ones they won and the ones they lost. David in recorded history, according to the Bible, fought the most wars of any king of Israel and he did not Read the rest of this entry
