Yes or No?

Matt.5:36 (JB) “All you need to say is `Yes’ if you mean yes, or `No’ if you mean no; anything more than this comes from the evil one.”

Rom.12:2 (Philips) “Don’t let the world around you squeeze you into its own mould, but let God re-mould your minds from within, so that you may prove in practice that the plan of God for you is good, meets all his demands and moves towards the goal of true maturity.”

Prov.22:10 (LB) “Throw out the mocker and you will be rid of tension, fighting & quarrels.” When you get rid of the gossip –the toxic person, you will be shocked how healthy your organization will become. Just Do It!

Ps.119:132 Come and show me your mercy, as you do for all who love your name. 133 Guide my steps by your word, so I will not be overcome by evil.”

Me or Jesus? This is one question that every Christian must wrestle with. Lu.10:25 One day an expert in religious law stood up to test Jesus by asking him this question: “Teacher, what should I do to inherit eternal life?” Jesus is just amazing! People came to Him with questions testing Him and Jesus always had the right answer for everyone. This man knew the question and the answer already and Jesus simply led him back to the truth that he already knew. Lu.10:26 Jesus replied, “What does the law of Moses say? How do you read it?” Read the rest of this entry

Proper Perception

Prov. 29:25 (GN) “It is dangerous to be concerned with what others think of you…”

If your waking thoughts are about what this person or that person thinks about you, then Scripture says that you are treading a dangerous path. Some people are just unpleasable; accept it and live with it. Fact number two: I do not have to please everyone; so you do not have to please everyone. Read the rest of this entry

Realization 101

Rom.12:18 (NIV)”If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.” [with emphasis]

God does not want us to be difficult people in the lives of those we are doing life with. Some of us may have a propensity towards being demanding, or we are prone to being disagreeable, or being defensive, or prone to be demeaning. In that case, it is time to stop today and realign with Christ. Read the rest of this entry
