Always Audacity!

“Then at last the Lord said to me, ‘You have been wandering around in this hill country long enough; turn to the north. Deu.2:2-3

Principle of The Offensive can only be ignited with audacity. You cannot be on the offensive if you are not courageous. You need courage. Fredrick the Great puts it this way, “L’audace, l’audace, et toujours l’audace” [translation: Audacity, audacity, and always audacity]. You need to put this statement in front of you, see it before you sleep and when you get up before you go out, see it again. “Audacity, audacity, and always audacity”. Courage is Read the rest of this entry

Move Quickly!

As Goliath moved closer to attack, David quickly ran out to meet him… taking out a stone, he hurled it with his sling and hit the Philistine in the forehead. The stone sank in, and Goliath stumbled and fell face down…” 1 Sam.17:48 – 49 [emphasis added]

Saul said to David, ‘you cannot kill this Goliath’. David answered back, ‘I will kill him’ and went on to give his reasons. I killed the bear, I killed the lion, and I will kill this Goliath too. Goliath cursed David with his gods. David said you come to me with sword and spear but I come to you in the Name of the Lord of Hosts, the God of the armies of Israel whom you have defied. Today, I will cut off your head and give your flesh to the birds. Note that the person Read the rest of this entry

Take Responsibility

“On the third day of the fast, Esther put on her royal robes and entered the inner court of the palace, just across from the king’s hall… When he saw Queen Esther… he welcomed her and held out the gold scepter to her. So Esther approached…” Est.5:1-2

Instead of making excuses, choose to make progress. You cannot make both at the same time. Your oven cannot bake excuses and bake progress at the same time. Choose one- excuses or progress, what will it be? A great war general, George Washington said, “ninety-nine percent of failures come from people who have the habit of making excuses.” In any organization, ninety-nine percent of failures come from people that make excuses. Some even have research data to back up why they failed. Check your business and even your home; the children that make the most excuses Read the rest of this entry

Be On The Offensive

“One day Jesus told his disciples a story to show that they should always pray and never give up. I tell you, he will grant justice to them quickly! But when the Son of Man returns, how many will he find on the earth who have faith?” Luke 18:1 & 8

In Luke 18, Jesus tells us the story of the persistent widow who went to the judge seeking justice but the judge did not pay her any attention. And this woman kept on attacking this judge until he cracked and gave her what she wanted. “I tell you, he will grant justice to them quickly! But when the Son of Man returns, how many will he find on the earth who have faith?” Luke 18:8. When people come across the word faith in this portion of scripture, they Read the rest of this entry

Attack!

“Also [Jesus] told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not to turn coward (faint, lose heart, and give up)” Luke 8:1 [AMP].

A lot of us enjoy watching or even playing a good game of soccer. As long as I can remember, I have always loved to attack and lead counter attacks. I just do not get midfielders that are always passing sideways and backwards; it irritates me. You do not win matches in your lower third; you win matches by attacking. There was this football club that would take the ball straight to their opponent’s box eighteen and do their passes there. Why? It is because you Read the rest of this entry

Make It Happen!

“Let’s go across to the outpost of those pagans,” Jonathan said to his armor bearer. “Perhaps the Lord will help us, for nothing can hinder the Lord. He can win a battle whether he has many warriors or only a few!” 1Sam.14:6

I love people that make things happen. I see a lot of philosophers, even in church, they are always there analyzing things. I listen to them and I move on. I am friendlier with action people. Napoleon, the great general said, “Opportunities? I make opportunities!” While others are waiting for opportunities, he does not. Instead, he makes opportunities. By all indication, it does not appear that Napoleon knew God.

Action!

“And again David asked the Lord what to do. “Do not attack them straight on,” the Lord replied. “Instead, circle around behind and attack them near the poplar trees” 2 Sam.5:23

Did you ever watch those old movies that featured the oriental wars? Remember how both warring parties have their soldiers lined up, horses are fuming, the people are revving but nothing happens, no body steps out of rank. Then suddenly the General shouts, “Attack!” And everybody lunges forward. God is saying to you “Attack!” You are going to go from relegation to promotion.

Dare To Move

“Then David asked the Lord, “Should I chase after this band of raiders? Will I catch them?” And the Lord told him, “Yes, go after them. You will surely recover everything that was taken from you!”  1 Sam.30:8

God is taking us on a journey. I believe that for some of us reading today’s devotional [I pray for all of us], God is moving you from relegation to promotion. God’s Word for you is victory and to secure victory, we need to deploy proven principles of war. In deploying these principles of war, victory is assured.

The Principle of the Offensive is: advance and attack the opposition, grab and exploit the opportunities. After Read the rest of this entry

Pursue Clarity!

“If people can’t see what God is doing, they stumble all over themselves” Prov.29:18  [MSG, emphasis added]

Clarity is one thing but certainty is another. In fact, uncertainty is a permanent part of life. Many of us hate uncertainty but some of us have learned to grow very comfortable in an uncertain situation. Uncertain situations do not bother me rather I strive for clarity. Uncertainty never goes away. While we can afford to be uncertain, we cannot afford to be unclear. You need clarity of thought. The only thing you can be one hundred percent certain about is the Read the rest of this entry

Use Your Brain!

“Where there is no prophetic vision the people cast off restraint” ” Prov.29:18  [ESV, emphasis added]

Clarity is key! Seek clarity with all your might. Clarity comes from God speaking and from clear thinking. Many times we are asking God to speak and God will speak. But sometimes God wants you to think. You must know the difference.
