Be On The Offensive

“One day Jesus told his disciples a story to show that they should always pray and never give up. I tell you, he will grant justice to them quickly! But when the Son of Man returns, how many will he find on the earth who have faith?” Luke 18:1 & 8

In Luke 18, Jesus tells us the story of the persistent widow who went to the judge seeking justice but the judge did not pay her any attention. And this woman kept on attacking this judge until he cracked and gave her what she wanted. “I tell you, he will grant justice to them quickly! But when the Son of Man returns, how many will he find on the earth who have faith?” Luke 18:8. When people come across the word faith in this portion of scripture, they Read the rest of this entry

Attack!

“Also [Jesus] told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not to turn coward (faint, lose heart, and give up)” Luke 8:1 [AMP].

A lot of us enjoy watching or even playing a good game of soccer. As long as I can remember, I have always loved to attack and lead counter attacks. I just do not get midfielders that are always passing sideways and backwards; it irritates me. You do not win matches in your lower third; you win matches by attacking. There was this football club that would take the ball straight to their opponent’s box eighteen and do their passes there. Why? It is because you Read the rest of this entry

Make It Happen!

“Let’s go across to the outpost of those pagans,” Jonathan said to his armor bearer. “Perhaps the Lord will help us, for nothing can hinder the Lord. He can win a battle whether he has many warriors or only a few!” 1Sam.14:6

I love people that make things happen. I see a lot of philosophers, even in church, they are always there analyzing things. I listen to them and I move on. I am friendlier with action people. Napoleon, the great general said, “Opportunities? I make opportunities!” While others are waiting for opportunities, he does not. Instead, he makes opportunities. By all indication, it does not appear that Napoleon knew God.

Action!

“And again David asked the Lord what to do. “Do not attack them straight on,” the Lord replied. “Instead, circle around behind and attack them near the poplar trees” 2 Sam.5:23

Did you ever watch those old movies that featured the oriental wars? Remember how both warring parties have their soldiers lined up, horses are fuming, the people are revving but nothing happens, no body steps out of rank. Then suddenly the General shouts, “Attack!” And everybody lunges forward. God is saying to you “Attack!” You are going to go from relegation to promotion.

Think & Thank

“Seven times every day I praise You because of Your right rulings. Those who love Your law have an abundance of peace, and nothing along their paths can cause them to stumble” Ps. 119:164-165 [Voice]

God’s instruction for us in this season is Re-Tune. We have seen some of the things that detune us. And we have learnt that the desired frequency, the pitch perfect tune is joy. This joy comes with righteousness and peace. So how do those of us that are out of tune re-tune? And how do those of us that Read the rest of this entry

Reference Point

The Lord then answered him and said…  And when He said these things, all His adversaries were put to shameLuke 13: 15 & 17 [emphasis added]

Everywhere your lifting is being queried, Jesus Himself will answer for you. Everywhere people are querying the choice of you, God Himself will answer every query. And when He answers, all of them will be put to shame [say amen]. Try and have some faith here; God will answer for you and all your enemies will be put to shame, in Jesus Name. “And when He said these things, all His adversaries were put to shame; and all the multitude rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by HimLuke 13:17 [emphasis added]. Your lifting will inspire multitudes to be lifted, in the Mighty Name of Jesus.   Read the rest of this entry

Here And Now!

“Then Joshua cried out, “Oh, Sovereign Lord, why did you bring us across the Jordan River if you are going to let the Amorites kill us? If only we had been content to stay on the other side!” Josh.7:7 [emphasis added].

“…If only we had been content to stay on the other side!” I call it the fantasy of the other side. It is also known as the green grass syndrome. The lawn on the other side is greener. Who says? Like someone said, the grass is not greener on the other side, the grass is greener where it is watered. When we are not Standing Tall where we are, we live in a perpetual state of lack of contentment and desire what we do not have. When we think we have something and it does not measure Read the rest of this entry

Stand Up & Stand Tall

“You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house” Matt.5:14-15.

The report of the spies was, “When they returned, they told Joshua, “There’s no need for all of us to go up there; it won’t take more than two or three thousand men to attack Ai. Since there are so few of them, don’t make all our people struggle to go up there” Josh.7:3. But fast forward to the next chapter, “Then the Lord said to Joshua, “Do not be afraid or discouraged. Take all your fighting men and attack Ai, for I have given you the king of Ai, his people, his town, and his landJosh.8:1 [emphasis added]. God’s instruction for victory was the direct opposite of what the spies had suggested. Read the rest of this entry

Face It!

Then David asked the Lord, “Should I chase after this band of raiders? Will I catch them?” And the Lord told him, “Yes, go after them. You will surely recover everything that was taken from you!” 1Sam.30:8-9

Stop and think about this portion of scripture for a minute. David had access to the oracle but see what he is asking, By God’s grace I am privileged to speak with people going through times and the question most of them ask is, “Lord, why did this happen to me”? Some demand an explanation from me about why God allowed it? Some are eager to know who they offended. Some start to list all the things they have done right [paying tithe, giving] as reasons why misfortune Read the rest of this entry

Go!

“Go to the lost, confused people right here in the neighborhood. Tell them that the kingdom is here. Bring health to the sick. Raise the dead. Touch the untouchables. Kick out the demons. You have been treated generously, so live generously. Matt.10:7&8 [MSG]

God does not only want you to have the Kingdom, God wants you to propagate the Kingdom. Sadly, this is where a lot of Christians miss it. Sometimes, it is also the fault of the Pastors because they do not preach it. So a lot of Christians think that the Kingdom of God is about them. All they are thinking about is how God will sort them out. God says, that is the least of the problem. The question is, what will you do when you are anointed? When you are Read the rest of this entry
