Limits Off

“And God will generously (abundantly) provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others2Cor.9:8 [emphasis added]

God does not depend on your resources to take you where He wants to take you. Do not let your resources become a limitation! Initially, Gideon had thirty two thousand men;, God reduced them to three hundred men. And with only three hundred men, Gideon took nations and defeated stronger armies. Why? It is because God is not tied to our resources or lack of resources to work out His plan. So do not let resources Read the rest of this entry

Death To Life IV

“When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream. Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The Lord hath done great things for them” Ps.126:1-2 [KJV]

Yesterday, we learnt that God sometimes will have to shut one door so that He can open a bigger door. Like the example from yesterday, the man is before me trembling as he reels out all his responsibilities. I had to keep myself from laughing but I prayed and I encouraged him. Guess what? This same man just a few months down the line, is so grateful to God that he lost that job because God has shown him His faithfulness. The challenge with a lot of us is that we are too Read the rest of this entry

Access Control VI

“Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends” Rev.3:20

And as Peter knocked at the door of the gate, a girl named Rhoda came to answer. When she recognized Peter’s voice, because of her gladness she did not open the gate, but ran in and announced that Peter stood before the gate. But they said to her, “You are beside yourself!” Yet she kept insisting that it was so. So they said, “It is his angel.” Now Peter continued knocking; and when they opened the door and saw him, they were astonishedActs 12:13-16 [NKJV]. You are believing God for something, you have prayed and the answer Read the rest of this entry

Access Control I

“I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven” Matt.16:19 [NIV]

A door is a form of access control; it allows the people that put the door there to control access into a room, a palace, a store, or the garage where the door is put. The door is a symbol of access control. If God wants you to open the door we can assume that you have the keys to the door because what is the value of having a door without a key. Having a door without a key is like Read the rest of this entry

A Life That Counts

The houses will be richly stocked with goods you did not produce. You will draw water from cisterns you did not dig, and you will eat from vineyards and olive trees you did not plant…” Deut.6:11

We are going to start today’s devotion by reiterating one of the truths from yesterday. The truth is that if the minds of men can conceive it then it is small compared to what God is going to do in your life. You need to remember this truth because this year you will take giants steps towards the fulfillment of your destiny in Jesus Name. You will be experience such acceleration that people who Read the rest of this entry

Let God Dictate

“My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine” Isa.55:8

There was an experiment done a while back that has become a popular story today and I want to share that story with you. Monkeys are typically about three feet tall but they can scale a height of about seven feet or higher because the monkey is designed to jump. In the experiment they put a monkey in a cage and put a transparent roof over the cage at about five feet. They observed that the monkey Read the rest of this entry

Fly Again

“Then he said, “The truth is, you must change your thinking and become like little children. If you don’t do this, you will never enter God’s kingdom. The greatest person in God’s kingdom is the one who makes himself humble like this child” Matt.18:3-4.

Over the next few weeks we will be learning how to make our lives count and I am confident that God will change your lives completely. This was birthed from a process God took me through. When we were growing up a lot of us, if not all of us made statements like this, ‘when I grow up I want to…’ ‘When I grow up I will…’. But recently, I realized that I now say ‘before I Read the rest of this entry

Lord, Can I?

‘And David inquired of the Lord, “Shall I pursue this raiding party? Will I overtake them?” “Pursue them,” he answered. “You will certainly overtake them and succeed in the rescue” 1 Sam.30:8 [NIV]

The third thing you do when where you are contradicts where you have been, when what you are seeing is trying to reproach what you have seen in God, when the circumstances around you or your situation are speaking contrary to your experiences, is to ask Him for permission to do the impossible.

Prayerful Beginnings III

‘Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain’ Ps.127:1 [KJV]

We need to understand that all power belongs to God. Jehovah has the final say. People may work tirelessly but unless the Lord approves, it cannot stand. So today we are going to continue still in the place of prayer because Jesus promises that if we ask and keep on asking, we will receive what we ask for. If we seek and keep on seeking, we will find what we seek. And if we knock and keep on knocking, the door shall be opened unto us. You will receive, you will find, and the Read the rest of this entry

Prayerful Beginnings II

‘Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. This is good and pleases God our Savior’ 1Tim.2:2-3.

If only Christians knew the power in prayer, they will pray without ceasing about anything and everything. Prayer is so important. Today we will continue in the place of prayer. We are going to start by commanding everything that has stood as a gate before us or will stand as a gate before us to be lifted up. ‘Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of gloryPs.24:7-10 [KJV]. Pray concerning your home, marriage, finances, and for Nigeria. Read the rest of this entry
