Forgiveness & Salvation

Psalm 79:9 “Help us, O God of our salvation! Help us for the glory of your name. Save us and forgive our sins for the honour of your name.”

Luke 23:34Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing…” These were Jesus’ first Words on the cross of Calvary, and they were the words of forgiveness. Jesus looked at what was being done to Him and said, “Father, forgive them…” Read the rest of this entry

Limits Off!

Eph.3:20 “Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination! He will outdo them all….” (TPT)

Today, we will pick up from the question from yesterday which is: If nothing is impossible for you, what will you attempt for God? You will notice that when you start to engage this question, initially nothing will come to mind. Read the rest of this entry

By Praise

Psalm 98:4-5 “Shout to the Lord, all the earth; break out in praise and sing for joy! Sing your praise to the Lord with the harp, with the harp and melodious song.”

Yesterday, we shared the story of Horatio Spafford who when confronted with the pain of losing his four daughters, did not point his finger at God angrily. He did not question God’s faithfulness saying, ‘Why couldn’t You save them? Read the rest of this entry

Destiny Matters

2 Tim.3:16-17 “Every part of Scripture is God-breathed and useful one way or another—showing us truth, exposing our rebellion, correcting our mistakes, training us to live God’s way. Through the Word we are put together and shaped up for the tasks God has for us.” (MSG).

A man went to his doctor to complain, he was convinced that something was wrong. The doctor ran some tests and presented his findings to the man. The doctor told him that he needed to change something urgently. Read the rest of this entry

Gifts For Him

Isa. 9:6 “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” (KJV)

Christmas is for giving and a lot of us are going to buy gifts for the people we value this Christmas – true or false? True. Now the question is, what are you going to give Jesus this Christmas? After all, it is His birthday. Read the rest of this entry

Time, Talent & Treasure

Matt. 2:11-12 “They entered the house and saw the child with his mother, Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasure chests and gave him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.” (emphasis added).

God wants us to be positioned in such a way that we can say like the wise men, we are seeking Jesus. What happens when you give God your time, your talent, and your treasure? He multiplies it, that is what He does. Let me share a personal testimony with you. Read the rest of this entry

Truth vs. Error

John 8:32 And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

The story is told of a lady who was a medical doctor. God told her that He wanted her to do ministry full time. God also told her that if she chooses the medical field, He would bless it, make her prosper in it, and there will be no limit to it. However, the ministry was what God wanted her to do. Male & Female

John 20:16,20,27 “Mary!” Jesus said. She turned to him and cried out, “Rabboni!” … As he spoke, he showed them the wounds in his hands and his side…  Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here, and look at my hands. Put your hand into the wound in my side… Believe!”

Jesus used voice recognition with Mary but showed His scars to the disciples and Thomas. Why? Did you do your homework? When Jesus resurrected and made Himself known to Mary, He used His voice and Mary responded “Rabboni!”.  But when Jesus showed up to the disciples, the men, Read the rest of this entry

Him Alone

Isa. 55:1 “Everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; And you who have no money come, buy grain and eat. Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost [simply accept it as a gift from God].” (AMP).

It is possible to come to the waters and not drink if you are not thirsty. Interestingly, it is only what you thirst for that can satisfy your thirst. Nothing else can. Peter and John had left but Mary could not leave, she was thirsty because, at this point, all Mary had was Jesus. Read the rest of this entry

Your Heart

John 17:17&19 “Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth …And I give myself as a holy sacrifice for them so they can be made holy by your truth.” (NRSV & NLT)

God can bring glory out of shame, however, shame itself does not glorify God. In fact, there would be no need for God to change shame to glory if shame glorifies God. So, shame is of no value to anybody. Apart from the glory confusion, there is also the ‘by God’s grace’ confusion. Read the rest of this entry
