Hiding Place

John 7:30 “Then the leaders tried to arrest him; but no one laid a hand on him, because his time had not yet come.”

We ended the devotional yesterday with the question, why do people die before their time? I hope that you took time out to wrestle with it. It will be impossible for any force to take you out before your time in the Mighty Name of Jesus. Read the rest of this entry

The Path

John 6:4 “(It was nearly time for the Jewish Passover celebration.)”

When you look at the event of things, it was approximately six months exist between John 5 and John 6. It was almost time for the Jewish Passover celebration. Remember, in John 2, Jesus went from Capernaum to Jerusalem for the Passover, which was the first Passover of Jesus’ ministry. Read the rest of this entry

The Son!

John 5:24I tell you the truth, those who listen to my message and believe in God who sent me have eternal life. They will never be condemned for their sins, but they have already passed from death into life” (emphasis added).

Jesus says, “those who listen to my message and believe in God who sent me have eternal life. They will never be condemned for their sins…” It is not that these people do not have sins, but Jesus says they will never be condemned for their sins. Read the rest of this entry

Resurrection

John 12: 24 “I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat is planted in the soil and dies, it remains alone. But its death will produce many new kernels—a plentiful harvest of new lives.”

We will kick off today’s devotional with our final thought from yesterday. Mary, Martha, and Lazarus were Jesus’ friends. Unfortunately, Lazarus became sick and eventually died. Mary and Martha had sent a message to Jesus, but Jesus did not get there until Lazarus had passed on. Read the rest of this entry

Come Flourishing!

1 Cor.15:42-43 “…Our earthly bodies are planted in the ground when we die, but they will be raised to live forever.  Our bodies are buried in brokenness, but they will be raised in glory. They are buried in weakness, but they will be raised in strength.” (emphasis added).

I can imagine the scene; Jesus was taken to the cross and the disciples were thinking, “He told us last night that He would be alive, and we will come alive.” Instead, they saw Jesus crucified on the cross. They must have felt deflated, this was nothing like the great things they had imagined. Read the rest of this entry

Cherished

John 14:19 “In just a little while the world will no longer see Me, but you’re going to see Me because I am alive and you’re about to come alive!” (MSG, emphasis added)

Please read Mark 15:21-41. The night before Jesus was crucified, He made a very strange statement; strange considering the context He was in. The disciples were expecting the Messiah as a conquering king that will come and physically liberate the nation of Israel. Read the rest of this entry

Will You?

John 10:10-11 (NIV) “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.

Will you give God control of your life or are you going to remain in control? Are you going to keep struggling to conquer? Or are you going to enter the lane of those who are more than conquerors? Read the rest of this entry

Heavens Link

Ps.23:6 (NKJV) Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever.”

1 Tim.6:7After all, we brought nothing with us when we came into the world, and we can’t take anything with us when we leave it.” No one showed up on earth with anything. Read the rest of this entry
