Prayerful Beginnings I
‘In the beginning… the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.’ Gen.1:1-3 [KJV].
Transition from one year is a very delicate time spiritually. Therefore, even amidst celebrations for all that God has done and is doing for us, because this is also a season for thanksgiving, It is important that we engage prayerfully. Spend the last few hours in this year prayerfully speaking into being what you want to see in the coming year 2015. You need to realize that God can never ever fail. It is wisdom to secure victory ahead because Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today, and forever. Read the rest of this entry
God First!
‘Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need’ Matt.6:33
This is God’s Word for you today. ‘…Don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need’ Matt.6:31-33. The key to having everything you need is making God priority. God is saying don’t become consumed with Read the rest of this entry
Limits Off
‘The lazy person claims, “There’s a lion out there! If I go outside, I might be killed!”’ Prov.22:13.
Let it be foremost in your mind that God will bless only the works of your hands. A lot of people allow laziness cut them off from God’s plan of greatness for their lives. ‘The lazy person claims, “There’s a lion out there! If I go outside, I might be killed!”’ Prov.22:13. Lazy people manufacture very brilliant excuses. Have you met such people? In other words if you tell him or her to go outside you are trying to kill him or her whereas there is no lion anywhere. A thousand may fall by your side and ten thousand by your right hand but it shall not come near you. After all God says don’t be afraid of the Read the rest of this entry
What Are You Doing?
‘The Lord will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none’ Deut.28:12 [NIV].
The fourth thing you have to reinforce or learn is God will bless the works of your hands. In other words, it is only the works of your hands that God will bless. God will not bless the dreams of your mind that have not translated into work. Some people are super dreamers, always dreaming. It is good to have a very big vision; it is better to just start something. You know why? It is because God will only bless the works of your hands. Read the rest of this entry
Keep Your Flock
‘But David persisted. “I have been taking care of my father’s sheep and goats,” he said. “When a lion or a bear comes to steal a lamb from the flock, I go after it with a club and rescue the lamb from its mouth…’ 1Sam.17:34-35
The key to the shepherds experiencing glory was in minding their business [Luke 2:8-9]. When you mind your business, then heaven is able to trust you with new business [Luke 16:10]. ‘So an elder must be a man whose life is above reproach. He must be faithful to his wife. He must exercise self-control, live wisely, and have a good reputation. He must enjoy having guests in his home, and he must be able to teach. He must not be a heavy drinker or be violent. He must be gentle, not quarrelsome, and not love money. He must manage his own family well, having children who respect and obey him. For if a man cannot manage his own household, how can he take care of God’s church?’ [1Tim.3:2-5]. Read the rest of this entry
Your Business
‘And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them…’ Luke 2:8-9 [KJV].
My grandmother would say, “You cannot be looking at another person’s wristwatch to determine the timing of your own life”. Everybody has his or her own timing. Which brings us to the third thing that you and I have to reinforce or learn. Your job is to mind your own business. It is wisdom to mind your own business. God is going to be doing amazing things around you. Thank God for what He is doing but focus on your own because Read the rest of this entry
Not Without Faith
‘And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him’ Heb.11:6.
Faith is the number one pleasing factor when it comes to relating with God. Without faith in your heart you cannot please God. While man looks on the outward appearance and might be fooled by lip service, God looks to your heart. And when He looks and does not find faith then we are not pleasing to Him. But you will please God because you will have faith. You need to constantly hear God to know how to go about pleasing Him at Read the rest of this entry
Prosperity Test III
‘They should be rich in good works and generous to those in need, always being ready to share with others. By doing this they will be storing up their treasure as a good foundation for the future so that they may experience true life’ 1 Tim 6:18-19.
‘He said to himself, ‘What should I do? I don’t have room for all my crops.’ Then he said, ‘I know! I’ll tear down my barns and build bigger ones. Then I’ll have room enough to store all my wheat and other goods. 19 And I’ll sit back and say to myself, “My friend, you have enough stored away for years to come. Now take it easy! Eat, drink, and be merry!”’ Luke 12:17-19. The fool thinks by storing up his money he will be Read the rest of this entry
Prosperity Test II
“Yes, a person is a fool to store up earthly wealth but not have a rich relationship with God” Luke 12:21
Caution! How you respond determines how heaven responds. How that man, Scripture describes him as the ‘rich fool’ responded determined how God responded. “But God said to him, ‘You fool! You will die this very night. Then who will get everything you worked for?’ Luke 12:20. When you get that windfall – it is a test. When you get that promotion – it is a test. God is testing you. And I am praying that you will pass the test in Read the rest of this entry
Lesson One
‘You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God’ 2 Cor.9:11 [NIV].
The All-Powerful God became helpless, at the “mercy” of Joseph and Mary, the amateur parents. Secondly, God came as a human being because man messed up and man had to fix it up. God became a human being because it will take man to put straight what man messed up. Christmas is such a big deal because of the relevance of Christmas. Christ, God came to earth and became a man. The Bible puts it this Read the rest of this entry
