His Might!

John 16:24You haven’t done this before. Ask, using my name, and you will receive, and you will have abundant joy.”

Today’s anchor scripture shows us clearly that the new privilege of asking the Father in the Name of Jesus and receiving answers is tied to our joy. This belief of, if you pray, you do not need to get any answers. just love Jesus, He does not need to answer your prayers. Read the rest of this entry

Word & Deed!

Ps. 33:6 & 9 “The Lord merely spoke, and the heavens were created. He breathed the word, and all the stars were born… For when he spoke, the world began! It appeared at his command.”

Heb.4:12 (AMPC) “For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing, and effective]; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life (soul) and [the immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart.” The Word of God has everything in it to bring it to pass. Once spoken, it goes out and executes what has been spoken. In John 9:7, all Jesus needed to say was, “go” and that Word opened the eyes of a blind man. In John 11:43, Jesus said, “Lazarus, come forth…” and that Word brought Lazarus out from the grave. The Bible says that, “he that was dead came back alive”. Every Word God has spoken to You will come to pass. I have heard it said a couple of times and I think I agree that, if all Jesus said when He stood by that graveyard was, “come forth”, everybody that had been buried in that graveyard would come out – everybody!’ Think about it, word and deed. So, Jesus had to choose His words carefully, “Lazarus, come forth!”

Begin to experience and relate to God and His Word not according to the English meaning [word] but according to the Hebrew meaning [dabar]. When we see and receive God’s Word [dabar], we do not struggle to believe it or try to make it work by ourselves because sometimes that is what we do. We get God’s Word and say, “I believe it, I confess it, I receive it.” Read the rest of this entry

In His Name, IV

Isa. 11:2And the Spirit of the Lord will rest on him—the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord.” (emphasis added).

The encounter that prophet Isaiah had with the Lord paints a very graphic picture of the connection between the knowledge and the fear of the Lord. In the first five chapters of the Book of Isaiah, Isaiah was prophesying doom to everybody. Then in Isa. 6:1-5 It was in the year King Uzziah died that I saw the Lord. He was sitting on a lofty throne, and the train of his robe filled the Temple. Attending him were mighty seraphim, each having six wings. With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they flew. They were calling out to each other, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of Heaven’s Armies! The whole earth is filled with his glory!” Their voices shook the Temple to its foundations, and the entire building was filled with smoke. Then I said, “It’s all over! I am doomed, for I am a sinful man. I have filthy lips, and I live among a people with filthy lips. Yet I have seen the King, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.”

Isaiah’s response to the revelational knowledge of God was the fear of the Lord. Isaiah said, “It is all over! I am doomed, for I am a sinful man.” When you really can say, like Isaiah said, I am doomed, that is the beginning of humility. Humility is not putting yourself down; that is ‘humbility’ and not humility. ‘Humbility’ and humility are two different things. True humility is, stand as tall as you can then look at the glory of God and you will be humble. It is the Spirit of Knowledge and Fear of the Lord that brings that to bare.

The Holy Spirit is the Power of the Highest. Luke 1:35And the angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God.” (NKJV). The Holy Spirit will come upon you [say amen], the power of the Highest will overshadow you, and that which will come out of your life will be born of God, in the Name of Jesus. Remember the illustration of the cups from days back? Two of those cups were open and one was closed. You have to make sure that you are not closed. So, in your business, in your finances, the Holy Spirit will come upon you and the power of the Highest will overshadow you, in the Name of Jesus.

The Holy Spirit is the Breath of the Almighty. Job 33:4For the Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life.” (emphasis added). I pray that God will breathe upon you. When God breathes upon a situation, He is infusing the Holy Spirit into that situation. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Grace.  Zech. 12:10 And I pledge that I will pour out a spirit of grace and pleas for mercy on the family of David and the citizens of Jerusalem…” (Voice). When the Spirit of Grace comes upon you, when you unleash that dimension of the Holy Spirit, things just work for you. You enter into a level of grace that allows you to do difficult things with great ease. It is God’s grace.

Prayer [song]: Anointing fall on me. Anointing fall on me. Let the power of the Holy Ghost fall on me. Anointing fall on me. Amen!

To Change

Rom.12:2 “Don’t let the world squeeze you into its mould, but let God remake you so that your whole attitude of mind is changed.” (Phillips, paraphrased, emphasis added).

Today’s devotion begins with a question. What would you like to change about yourself? For those who are married, what will your spouse like to change about you? What difference can resurrection power make in your life? Read the rest of this entry

To Cancel

2 Cor.5:17 “This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. ‘he old life is gone; a new life has begun!”

How does this resurrection power benefit me? Over the next few days, God Himself will unpack this truth and help us see clearly the difference resurrection power makes in our lives. The first thing is, Resurrection Power Is The Power To Cancel Your Past. Read the rest of this entry

Same Power

Rom. 8:11The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.”

Jesus is alive and for us, this is worthy of celebrating every single day. Jesus is alive and it is a big deal. John 14:19 In just a little while the world will no longer see Me, but you’re going to see Me because I am alive and you’re about to come alive!” (MSG, emphasis added). Read the rest of this entry

Freed

Rom. 3:23-24 “For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins.” (emphasis added).

Being a Christian is summed up in one word and that word is “Done”. It is because of what Christ has done that we can do what He has called us to do! We stand tall not on the authority of our dos [prayers, giving, serving], but on the authority of the complete work of Jesus on the cross of Cavalry. Read the rest of this entry

Much BIGGER!

Eph.3:20 (TPT) “Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination! He will outdo them all…”

Imagine that what God offers us is more stunning than anything we could dream of. God says He can do infinitely more than we can ever think or imagine, bigger than all our what ifs’ put together. The beauty of Christianity is this, Read the rest of this entry

Purposeful

Deut.7:6 “For you are a holy people, who belong to the Lord your God. Of all the people on earth, the Lord your God has chosen you to be his own special treasure.”

You would hardly hear Christians refer to themselves as holy. I have never heard it and I have been saved for more than twenty years. The word holy intimidates us meanwhile it is God’s big picture for us. Holy just means set apart. God wants to move us from where we are currently to where He wants us to be. Winning Side

Ps.126:1-3 (MSG) “It seemed like a dream, too good to be true, when God returned Zion’s exiles. We laughed, we sang, we couldn’t believe our good fortune. We were the talk of the nations—“God was wonderful to them!” God was wonderful to us; we are one happy people.”

Ps.126:2-3 “We were filled with laughter, and we sang for joy. And the other nations said, “What amazing things the Lord has done for them.” Yes, the Lord has done amazing things for us! What joy!” (emphasis added). Read the rest of this entry
